There are many underground facilities on US bases, well stocked, self sufficient and heavily armed. Guess what; you helped pay for them but when TSHTF you aren't invited.

That is the big question. Nations like Russia in first place are not willing to lose half or more of their populations. China does not care. Russia does. If we go to WW3 Russia will find the way to save the greater part of its 142 mln because there wouldn't be other Russians to fill in the gap when everything ends. Even if Russia is the winner.

China thinks totally different and seems is ready to sacrifice as many millions as needed only to destroy USA too.

I don't know how US people think. If I were in USA I would believe govt FEMA are thinking of the people's salvation, not vice versus. But the Americans are free people, may be too free, and have their own viewpoint of all that.

A question of morality of higher level is whether the countries with capabilities to save more people, such as Russia and USA, will invite people from smaller countries who otherwise would not survive the nuclear winter. It is inevitable if we go down the nuclear road. Other scenarios are possible too. But the key question is how/when/where to save the people who will live in the aftermath of all that.

Personally I don't see China as the winner and the sole race to populate the desolated planet. That is terrible perspective what those people might think of it. It isn't gonna happen. But who knows, 200 mln army of apocalypse, dragon. IMO we are not there yet, but I might be wrong. I discuss that topic in other threads.

Let me express my strong belief Russia will not allow the tragedy of Hitler's sneak attack to be repeated and to see 20 mln victims at least or one in each family at that time. It will be much worse in the nuclear war. Russia will survive, so say prophecies. Don't know about the others, better unite and survive together than die the way the Chinese show the planet.

Also, it sure seems odd that Fukushima more or less followed that path, then poured into Canada, wonder if its actually double talk.

May be Nixon made a strategic mistake back then boosting China. repeated later by Thatcher who granted them Hong Kong. Does China accept the hand of the West? How would China find itself within the community of those countries who showed her a pretty good attitude in the last 2 decades making it possible the never-before-in-history development of this country. Does China ever think to live peacefully with other big nations who might not have 1 billion population but certainly did and continue to do things to build up the Earthly civilization, not to destroy it. Everyone has mistakes. So does the USA so does China. That may not be the cause to kill each other as eons ago.

but why broadcast such plans only in a state-run programming channel where only the chinese can watch it? they should have sent such video to all major international media outlets too.

I don't try to demonize China or to blame the common Chinese people. The language used however belongs to another era, or another planet if you will.

they know well the western journalists follow everything in China. As you see it appeared immediately in English in Global times. They wanted to be heard. Now is the time for them to backtrack and to say it is nothing official. May be some fired journalists too. Will China try to clear its image?

The once glorious, now brutal Capitalist, CCP never leaks anything so this was planned though state media clearly.

While both nations are currently fighting over economic control of many parts of the world a little saber rattling should be expected.

What I find interesting about this is how clearly it exposes the US government as being an Imperial power.

The DPRK develops very basic nuclear weapons, in order to fend off the never ending threat of US invasion, and the US flips out and uses sanctions to starve an actual socialist nation.

China, an Imperial power these days, openly brags about having highly advanced nuclear technology with the ability to destroy the US and not a word is spoken from DC.

When a brave small Anti-Capitalist nation stands up to the US even in the slightest, the total power and influence of Imperialism is hammered down on said nation.

Yet, let another Imperial nation stand up to the US and say, `Hay Look! We got enough nukes to kill all of you 1,000 times over before breakfast` the US sits down and shuts up real quick.

The USSR learned how to deal with the US during the cold war. Have enough nukes to scare the hell out of the political class in the US and your nation`s safety increases ten fold sadly.

Also, America is not really in a position to give China a lot of gruff. All China has to do is start a fire sale with all those greenbacks and US debt they are holding and the US would disappear instantly.

Surely China has considered, that most of its Subs would be hunted down, and sunk if they crossed the thin red line. The USA has a very reliable sub classes, hunter groups, nuclear capabily, etc... Their is a reason the Soviets were detered for decades, and vice versa. It's a suicide mission for the entire world, no one wins

I think what he is saying is there won’t be a government to say anything.

If the government is not taken out the command and control will probably be overwhelmed which will cause some hesitation.

In that hour of hesitation another wave of misses takes out your nuclear deterrent.

It’s a big gamble but if a country was ever cornered for survival then it may just try.

Every time we buy Chinese products, we are funding this country. I would really like to know when it became acceptable and a good idea to trade with a country that has an attack plan against us?

Then you cant trade with anyone as every military every were will have a attack plan for everyone. No one could ever trade with the USA!

It is not trade. It is the relocation of USA (and West's) manufacturing base to China.

The Chinese miracle has happened on the back of ever-increasing export of industrial capacity to China.

The industrial base feeds into the military capacity directly and indirectly.

Threatening USA publically is big. So the Chinese must be feeling confident enough that this is an 'acceptable way' to tell the world they are the new 'superpower'.

It's not China getting big, it's just the USA getting smaller...at least still bigger than Texas lol...


Back on topic, china just want to say that she's capable of giving as much she gets. Sometimes back when that Georgetown Uni study that came up with the Chinese tunnels and probably undeclared nukes, the kneejerk reaction was to bomb them. Now they are ready, methinks.

Regardless of what they could do, to win an all out nuclear strike is impossible, from any nuclear able country. As they said its a retaliation plan which everyone has. that's why technically all country's are in a kind of Cold War ( stalemate ). There are always means of launching a counter strike from subs, hidden missile silos , even some destroyer class vessels carry nukes, so if one country completely nukes the other the same could be launched back. Unless it was able to hit the land and sea capabilities simultaneously. I thought everyone knew that....

We do not know for sure.

Advances in anti-missile tech will render a lot of missiles useless.
Satellites guiding the missiles are only a few and can be destroyed.

The detente of 'cold war' may not last for long, as new weapons are developed.

Next are robot armies (armed drones, armed unmanned vehicles) coming.

The plans, including size of nuclear hits as well as which cities, was given freely by the government to the television station. This is just for the nuclear subs and doesnt' include their full nuclear arsenal.
The article features 30 photos and graphics detailing, among other things, damage projections for Seattle and Los Angeles after being hit by Chinese nuclear warheads and the deadly radiation that would spread all the way to Chicago.

Bull#, the average ICBM carries a warhead that has a lethal fall out radius of 25 square miles. Even if winds spread it all the way to Chicago, after 7 hours radioactive decay would be reduced from 1000R (roentgen) to 100R. Most casualties from a nuclear attack would be the ones in the immediate blast radius. The idea that radioactive fall out, will travel from the West coast to the midwest and kill millions in the plain states; as well as on the other side of the Mississippi is retarded. CCP is embarrassing itself.

Most of Chinese posts and claims are bombastic. But these cannot be taken as propaganda.

Chinese capability build up is real and worrying.

My estimate is China's nuke arsenal is many times than figures on Internet. It is definitely more than 1000 warheads.

The Chinese are now on the same plane as Russia in terms of deliverable nuke capability.
