Nope, not an SR-72. Good guess though.

Interesting... Could it be this?

Lockheed Martin's plans for a legit SR-71 replacement... The SR-72.

Perhaps they pushed this to the press, due to the downed aircraft in NM?

OR... Is it an act of misdirection, for a more sinister cause? *cue the Ancient Aliens narrator* hahaha

Or perhaps something a little smaller with similar design/function? Either as POC or to test the scalability of the design.

Or both...

I will say it's not related to the SR-72 at all.

Fixed wing?

Classified as a 'stealth' air frame?

Optionally manned, or full time unmanned?

Sorry, getting into those details I won't go into.

No prob, Bob!

Is it a patented technology that makes it unique? If so, being that it's public domain, can you divulge said 'patented tech'?

It's most definitely not in the public domain anymore. It was talked about years ago, but all the articles I read about it from back then are gone off the web.

Well damn! Sneaky bastards... Lol!

Is said patent, of the physical/mechanical type... or electronically-related,in nature?

Haha..

Yes.
Or was that no?

The more I think about things and the more I think about the missions of Libby/Huachuca and WSMR along with some of the contractor tenants in the Sierra Vista area, it makes me wonder if the Minotaur/Minion programmes, or perhaps a spinoff, might be the 'culprit'.

Wow, now THERE are a couple names I haven't heard in forever. I'm impressed anyone remembers them.

Hi Zaphod, intriguing thread here, must eat you up that you can't share what you know.

I've been going over some of your earlier threads in a hope to get some clues and I think I have an idea of where we're at.

I don't know if I should blurt out what I think it is or keep it on the down low, I think down and low for now works... Ha!

Ok it's going to be either Lockheed Martin or Northrop Grumman, I'm leaning towards NG on this, and I also think there is a variant already publicly flying and being tested by the Navy.

Too obvious?

I can better that I'm sure, because I think the other option is the RQ-170's big daddy.

Don't tell me you guys have given up. It's been so much fun watching your brains work.

Ok I've been following this.
I say Eisenhower returned in the disc he left in way back in
1954 (or 1964) a body double was president for a while, obviously..

So here comes the disc on approach with F117's in tow &
Ike tells the large nosed aliens "I'll bring this baby in"
and blammo !!
That's my story and I'm sticking to it...

That's always the part that sucks. I would love to tell a couple of people on here, but to be honest (and please no one take this the wrong way), I can't trust anyone enough. These aren't my secrets to tell, so I'm going to hold tightly onto them.

As for your guess, not bad. Not right, but not bad.
Of course I wouldn't necessarily say if you were right either.
