Oh my, I LOVE that movie, I actually watched it again a few days ago (seen it about 15 times), one of the most brilliant movies yet! I feel stupid for forgetting

I have to disagree with you on this one. I watched "Branded" a few months back and thought it was quite possibly the WORST movie I've ever seen. I hated it with a passion.

Last time I watched a Bad Grandpa from Jackass, and I was so disappointed. Do NOT WATCH this movie.

'Brick'.
tough/smart HS kid (Joseph Gordon Leavitt) takes on the local drug gang that killed his girlfriend.
not a kids movie but not gross.
very different look / feel / sound that the usual Hwood stuff.

'Gargoyles' (the early 1970s one with Cornel Wilde)
Anthropologist researching Native American legends stumbles upon the real thing. Has it's own dreamlike reality.
