Does anybody know what 'oddly calculated Karma' means? I've searched this site for many, many hours, and can't find the answer! Knowing would sure put my mind (and OCD) to rest. Thanks,Nugget

But seriously...it's "odd" - thus it's "oddly accumulated." Pay little attention to it, and you will find yourself making more friends on ATS though, that's for sure.

I read the post in the link and still didn't understand about Karma or WATS. But then I have enough trouble trying to understand karma in real life too lol. What is the importance of Karma on ATS? Or WATS? Is this something that members should understand? How do I learn about this?

Don't sweat it. We've all been there. As soon as you feel more comfortable, the following probably won't seem so important to you.

Copied this from a mod's post a long time ago (Sorry I can't remember which Mod):
K = (stars * 15) + ((flags + applause) * 10) / posts
Example:
7619 stars * 15 = 114285
(524 flags + 92 applauses) * 10 = 6160
114285 + 6160 = 120445
120445 / 4074 posts = 29.5643103 rounded to 30

Your W score equals to the number of posts divided by 600 + number of flags divided by 80 + number of stars divided by 170.
Example:
1873/600=3.126
(572/80=) 7.15
2156/170=12.68 rounded up or down, not sure which

Thank you for the formula. I'm not sweating by any means, just curious. My question is what is the score for? What does karma 'mean' on ATS? What does "Way Above Top Secret" mean?

They are just meaningless stats as far as I know lol. Then, maybe I just don't know all the secrets yet
