It is the job of the Federal Government to protect. We need protection from greed. Private health insurance business has failed protecting 50 million people from medical bankruptcy and getting access. If capitalists do not want government interference, then they should make the sacrifice of smaller profits and lower their prices to include everyone who wants insurance protection. That includes housing, food, jobs. Otherwise, I am warning you, if the capitalists continue to let their greedy profits tear down our country, we will come up the other side socialists.

Did anyone notice that the people are using the same technique that's being used on dating sites, spam emails and the like, where people hold up a blank card and text is added in later to fit the need of the spam.

If you look very closely, you'll notice that the fonts are different on purpose. You'll see a mix of different letters that are similar but not the same. For instance, there will be 4 D's that look the same, then 4 other D's that look the same but different than the first set, then ANOTHER set that look different. When a person writes they tend to have ALL of their characters looking the same and made the same general way. Not true in these pictures. Compare all of the letters, not just a few. You will see a trend.

I personally know of fonts for paint programs that do just this. It's just a mixture of handwriting FONTS.

Strange, huh?

I call hoax!

I'm sorry, but it is exactly your attitude that allows this government to subjugate the populace by stripping it of it's wealth. You are wrong on many counts.

"If they pay a penie or two pence more for the reddinesse of them..let them looke to that, a foole and his money is soone parted." - John Bridges (1587)

Please provide any evidence that the job of the Federal Government is to "protect" the citizens, outside of providing a common defense.

The Constitution states: "The Congress shall have Power to lay and collect Taxes, Duties, Imposts and Excises, to pay the Debts and provide for the common Defence and general Welfare of the United States". Which means, the Federal Government may collect taxes to "spend" on the common welfare; however, that does not mean they have a "job" to protect. It also means that while they can "spend" for the general welfare, they cannot legislate. However, they can tax . . . hence the ACA. You are very wrong in your assertion about the country. You are, however, reiterating the Progressive's mantra. Where they have it wrong, is that it is the government's job to protect us from each other . . . protect our individual rights. Nowhere in the Constitution does it say the citizenry has a right to "health insurance" or the right to not be "swindled by greedy businesses".

As for those "greedy" insurance companies . . . they are businesses, not charities. They are in business to make a profit. This is where you would be wise to learn (and teach your children) the concept of Caveat Emptor, better known as "buyer beware". It is your job to understand what exactly you are "buying" into, which by your posts, you don't. You seem to be quite confused as to the purpose of insurance, how the companies are structured, and your rights as a consumer.

Insurance companies are gambling on you . . . just as you are gambling by paying into their service. The are taking the risk that you won't require any high-end surgeries or procedures, while under their policy. You are gambling that, at some point, you will and will need help paying for it. Insurance companies are not in business for the public good, any more than casinos are in business to provide you with money. When insurance companies lose money on one policy holder, they hopefully make that up through those that pay their premiums and do not require major procedures. If an insurance company loses money on all policy holders . . . they go out of business. Insurance companies run a risk assessment on every applicant . . . if there is too much risk, it amounts to a "bad bet" and not worth their time or money. That last sentence is why people are denied insurance.

And yet, for all the class-warfare-esque rhetoric about those "greedy" corps, every Progressive lap dog turns around and thinks it's a great idea when the government says you need to support (buy a policy) from those same "greedy" corps . . . for the betterment of our society. Once again: "If they pay a penie or two pence more for the reddinesse of them..let them looke to that, a foole and his money is soone parted". Translation: You've been swindled and pimped!

Attitudes like yours think they should be given everything without having to pay the price for someone else's labor or capital . . . Attitudes like yours are the reason governments are able to control every aspect of the people's lives, because you fail to take any responsibility for yourself or require your fellow citizen's should have to.

Just remember . . . TANSTAAFL!

"Some people say there is no such thing as a free lunch, but you listen to a fireside chat from Washington, and the voice will tell you all about it, and how you can make something for nothing." - The Long Beach Independent (1943)

i'm not even sure where to begin with this....

ok, look, you claim to be in your 60s...how you can be that old, and not know how things are supposed to work, is completely baffling..

it is not the role of the federal government to "protect"...that is a very broadly definable term....the role of the federal government is to as our avatar on the international stage, to provide for the national defense, and to assist in regulation of interstate commerce.....notice i said "assist"....that's the key word..

the preexisting conditions provision of the ACA released the restrictions for a lot of people...and that could have been passed all on it's own. the individual mandate does absolutely NOTHING to help anyone but the insurance companies that wrote the damned bill...it's a giant handout to them...a blank check, written in our name...you wanna talk about greedy companies winning...holy christ...

i gotta ask, do you even know what the words "socialist", and "socialism" mean? it's when the government runs everything, there is no private anything, nothing belongs to you, and you work for the state.....

you want the government to run everything, to "protect" us.....you want socialism, in order to avoid socialism.....

your position makes absolutely no sense at all...

It was a bailout for the insurance companies because the rates were so high that one-third of the population could not afford to be insured. Its stupid to use red herrings and strawmans to make a case for ACA! Its yellow journalism.

State welfare did cover those that could not get insured. Anyone that was uninsured and off welfare would be taken to court and have his wages garnished by collection agencies for as long as it took for them to recoup their cost. We also had plenty of charities and fund raisers.

If it truely was nationalised healthcare as in other countries I think it would have had broader support from the liberals and progressives. Today even the left does not want ACA. Nevermind the right that wants everything private with supply and demand dictating everything.

I personally stopped being a political fanatic, dropped both parties because they are full of #, and tend to be centrist on most issues. Anything that works is A-ok with me. Problem is no one really wants to compromise now-a-days.

Under Obamacare the insurance companies do. You have a problem with that?
