He didn't get the support in Congress so no need to vote. Push forward, screw Putin.

Best way for terrorists to get chemical weapons is for the rebels to overthrow al-Assad. Doors will be thrown wide open for any organization to get those weapons.

I can't believe that he is still calling for war, all the while saying that he is bringing US troops home and bringing peace.

EDIT: The President says he is going to pursue a diplomatic path. He is delaying Congress on the vote, and waiting for the U.N. Security council's ruling on the matter. Let's hope they hand over the weapons nicely and no other chemical attacks or traditional attacks happen from ANY side!

Why would he even address the nation if a surgical strike is his aim. If it's a one shot and done war, wouldn't it be best to just carry out under the radar and in secret.

This address doesn't make any sense, he want's America to stand with his decision, but isn't that the exact opposite of what a "Great" leader does.

I'm confused more so now then I was before this speech.

Hey, if you want to help the Syrian people, why not give humanitarian aid to those who are displaced! How about that? Instead of shooting missles at them, give them food and shelter. How about Peace Keeping troops?
