8825 A.D.

The year is 8825 A.D.
We humans have spread throughout the galaxy, coloninsing and terraforming planets.
We have travelled to other galaxies and done the same there.
We have discovered no other life.
We have discovered other dimensions and found them empty.
Science has given us the ability to travel in time and we found Roswell was a prank by students from the year 7740.
We have found no life anywhere and nearly all the universe is mapped.
Where does that leave us?

In new hire orientation when I went to work in a mental hospital many years ago (state run), this chick interrupted a speech about "do's and dont's" given by the Campus Superintendant. She said, "Sir, what if a UFO were to come down and land by, say....the chapel....."

True story.


ETA: I should add...the isn't then, nor ever has been a patient. I happen to know her dad. they are just a bit eccentric as a family.

We'll if you are from the future I am glad you made this post. It gives me some sort of 'hope' that we will pull through all sorts of calamity and be able to venture in space and time alone. For, one day I too would like to venture in space before I meet my human death. So, it gives me credence to our civilization that your from the future.
