We have found inscriptions that appear to depict air craft in Egypt, gold fashioned into the shape of jet airplanes in South America, plus evidence of ancient mining in Africa. There are even stories about how the Annunaki used human labor to mine gold and other minerals. So some of these look like runways, and we have objects from the same time period that depict different types of aerial craft so probably they are runways.

Slayer, during my career as a cartographer and photogrammetrists for a agency that mapped the entire surface of the plannet, I can assure you that the near perfect shaved off mountain tops are not a natural feature, and not seen anywhere else on the planet. It is true that there are similar natural 'table top' features elsewhere on the planet, but they don't compare, not even close.

I am speculating that these may be landing features, but not landing strips. They could possibly be safe verticle landing and staging areas for 'large' mining type of space craft. A mining craft would have to be large to carry substantial amounts of ore or the finished product in quantities. Possibly these ships were cigar shaped or longer than wider. Think of a very large and long ship taking up much of the strips with extra room for loading and unloading cargo, then verticle takeoffs and landings on a very flat surface makes sense.

If they could remove massive mountain tops, then we may be seeing the remains of the staging area for the loading and unloading and transport of large equipment and very large crafts to mine and transport the ore and launch vertically. Also a mountain top would be a somewhat safe area against unwanted intrusions by man and beast.

My speculation FWIW. Interesting topic, thanks Slayer.

Ahhh Slayer your usual interesting thread. As this is in a speculative forum, please allow me to speculate.Years ago I recall reading an article which stated that the area around nazca was rich in Manganese.Maganese is a very useful element, used for many things including combination with other elements to create hard alloys.
Link

Since reading this particular article I have thought that if "aliens" had mined this area then perhaps this element was what they were mining. As I recall the article stated that this element was very prevalent in the nazca area. Of coarse this is what got me thinking.Since there was a high concentration of manganese compounds in this area,it would make sense to mine here.

The photo of the area where the tower stood got me to thinking that it could have been a smelter for smelting the manganese ore.It seems that there has been a great deal of mining over the previous eras in the area.
link

It seems that this particular area is quite mineral rich. Some of these minerals are very desirable.
link

As to the areas that seem to be removed; I wonder if these areas were outcroppings that were exceptionally rich in the minerals they sought. If the materials mined from these areas were carried off for processing, then there would be no remains to speak of left. Now that being said if the tower site was indeed a smelter,I would think that there would be tailings and,or slag remains around that area somewhere.I have been unable to find any information to pertaining to there being any slag or tailings in that area.

I did discover that there was a new figure discovered. This article doesn't have a date for the discovery, but it does list some of the theories that people have come up with about the nazca area.

link

Thanks for the heads up on this thread. So here's my 2 cents worth.Highly speculative to suit this forum.

Excellent point about the circuit board appearance. I too noticed this. There are certain patterns that make up our world. Are they finite? Things like spirals, cubes, diamonds etc. Macro and micro - so the planets orbiting the sun is repeated as smaller/larger scales.

What if these are only partial circuits and they continue their existence into other dimensions - ones that we are not capable of being aware of.

I too like the crop circle - programming idea. If you have ever watched Derren Brown he uses visual cues (as well as others) to program or implant ideas in his target. Anyone see the boardroom one where they had to design an advert?

If it was an ancient advanced civilisation, then surely of being advanced is not leaving a mess and tidying up after yourself.

Will the peoples of our future think we were advanced when looking at the tonnes of rubbish we buried and the general crapola we leave behind for them? The advanced bit is devising efficient processes and being able to deal with any by-products and general waste so that you dont pollute everything else.

I think people in our deep past were smarter than we are now. They just had less to work with.

People long ago had less distractions and conditioning. Their eyes were more open. All the technical stuff we know how to use does not make us smarter, it makes more dependant on technology to do our thinking.

Remote controls made us fat and cause blood circulation problems because we do not get up to change the channel.
Yet we say that this is advancement

My two cents. Pottery crucibles are used when you smelt gold to do an assay.

Those certainly look like landing strips.
Especially when viewed from up high.

don't forget the little models of airplanes that are aerodynamically efficient; if they existed at full scale they certainly needed landing strips. space ship operators would be their designers, for terrestrial purposes.

I would love to see if there is actually any Gold in Fort Knox or wherever the Worlds Gold depositories are.
What If we are still mining Gold for some alien race and that some of the Ufos that are seen are just picking up their next order.
In return they pay us with technology and knowledge and that those at the top of our tree utilize it to their own advantage. Would explain why Gold is so valuable and much sought after and most rare as much of it has been mined out. And if that was the case what happens when there is no Gold left?
This is certainly a bit far fetched but we know very little about a planet that is billions of years old considering we supposedly arrived a few hundred thousand years ago.

i've wondered the same things--and it's certainly a plausible scenario, esp. until we locate all the gold that is supposed to be stored!

Why Ancient Aliens, why not Ancient Humans, Civilizations or are we too accustomed to the idea that our predecessors could not possibly have been more advanced than we would imagine them to be?

because of their own direct testimony concerning sky gods who shared advanced knowledge?

If scientists want to figure out that the landing strips are manufactured, the rocks need to be looked at for chemical composition. A mountain top needs to be drilled. A well driller could accomplish this. Looking at the chemical compositions down to the same level as the landing strips. This would determine that they are man made/ alien made unnatural flat plateaus. Radiation levels need to be checked. Chemical residue from blasting away the mountain top should be looked for. Metal detectors should be used to find their ancient trash. Everyone leaves trash... especially human construction workers. I am sure if someone wanted answers they would find them.

This place is obviously older than 2,000 years, or the Mayan Indians would have written down what happened there. The locals would be still talking about aliens as they do about the Feathered Winged Serpent in Mexico and Jesus coming in Israel. The soil next to the band of holes needs to be analyzed to discover what chemicals they sampled. Humans mining the holes probably would not have hand dug them in a long uniform band. That is evidence of a factory style vehicle driving the width in a straight line trade mark. Where is the dirt from those holes?

Anyone traveling through the solar system could mine for materials they need. Then take off for their long term destination. Why would you think they would come back? Some trips are just one way. All the planets in our solar system have different materials they are made out of. What is special about Earth is the air and water qualities. The Gravity. The planet's temperatures. We are billions of years old, anything could have happened here.
edit on 6-9-2013 by frugal because: spelling

according to those who are supposed to know, the planet is crawling with dozens of species of et's and what not today. evidence (such as ufo/jet escorts vid posted above) is abundant, as are credible testimonies, from defense workers to presidents to the former canuck def. min. some surely departed, though kukulkan/quetzlcoatl promised to return in these days.

I don't think so - looks more like he's skiing. Snowskiing, that is.

Mining has been around for a long time. Neanderthals used red ochre, and ochre is mined - it's iron ore, in fact.

Modern lies told by a man out to make a living through the ignorance of the masses. No such "gold-mining" stories exist from Babylonia, where the word "anunnaki" comes from. None from Sumer either.

The gods that rebelled, resulting in the creation of Man, were tired of creating the landscape of the Earth.

A very interesting thread and I'm also reading a number of good theories and conjecture...

I've always been drawn to the Nazca Area and it (and the "Lost City of the Incas" Machu Picchu) are on my bucket list of places to visit before I become my own bit of a forgotten mystery......

Do you think this may have something to do with David Icke being, "called," to go down to Peru; and having his supposed, "awakening," many years ago?
