Symbols rule the world.... Are you symbolically held in bondage?

Slavery was not abolished on earth. Slaves are still shackled, and they even find these shackles comfortable.

"The deal is, you be a good slave, we won't attach the chains and you can take your shackles of when you leave work.

Many a worker must wear a shirt and tie....

On a shirt there are also a collar and cuffs....

Chains are no longer needed when the masters have your mind...

Slavery exists on a psychological  level these days. The words and symbols are very clear. look out, a mutiny is on the horizon upon the citizenship.

Next Friday week is "wear a 9/11 was a inside job, T-shirt  to work day". or just no collar tie or cuffs, if a 9/11 T-shirt could loose you your job or you don't dig the conspiracey.

If asked where your shirt and tie are, tell your boss it is hanging up in your wardrobe. Lol.
Then when they ask why, tell them what a shirt represents. And tell him to take his off!

The chains connecting your hand cuffs together were cut out and replaced by sleeves, the symbolic proof is in the definition of the word...

Sleeve:

1. (Clothing & Fashion) the part of a garment covering the arm

(connecting the cuffs to the collar

2. (Engineering / Mechanical Engineering) a tubular piece that is forced or shrunk into a cylindrical bore to reduce the diameter of the bore or to line it with a different material;

(ie, so your hands can work. Lol)

3. (Engineering / Mechanical Engineering) a tube fitted externally over two cylindrical parts in order to join them; bush*

( over your arms in order to join to the bush)

Bushes...

There are other worlds that we can't see or feel, but they exist. Shine a light and take a look..

Pretty interesting thoughts.

My question is, where do belts fit into all of this?

I was talking to my husband the other day about this . But not the male side . The female side of it . Bangles, bracelets, necklaces and even shoes with their ankle straps and so on

So let me see if I get this right, you are equating people wearing a suit and tie to the office with slavery?

I can see the point of the op. I think it's a pretty interesting observation. Thought provoking.

In the proper forum too, mind you.

Just seems to be another of the posts that pop up every couple of weeks.

If you work, you are a slave.
If you wear a suit or a tie, you are a slave.
If you have a successful career, you are a slave.
If any of the above contribute to you being happy in life or living the way you want, you are a salve.
The only way you aren't a slave is to quit your job and struggle to make it as a homeless person..
The only way you aren't being a slave is to quit the path that makes you happy and follow the road someone else paints as freedom.

No, the words do that with their meaning, I'm just pointing it out.

I said the shirt was symbolic. (metaphorically perallel)

I wish I wasn't wearing a shirt with sleeves tomorrow, it's supposed to be 98 degrees where I am

Of course you can do anything that you want, but may I suggest you reconsider your advice?

If asked where your shirt and tie are, tell your boss it is hanging up in your wardrobe. Lol.

I've heard rumors that the job market is still a little tight.
