Do you mind if I send your post to my daughter? She is an artist and says photography is not art, anyone can take a picture haha

From my heart, thank you for that comment. It means a lot to me, it says I am on the right track.

HA! Sure, send it along to her - just like anyone can cook, it doesn't mean they're a chef.

You're definitively on the right track - keep us posted with newer photos as you grow into this exciting field.

Your photography is wonderful though terribly sad, as I see these sad imprisoned creatures held for the single purpose of humans pleasure in looking at them. No longer able to choose a mate for themselves and live in their own homes in their own way.

FYI

These are free to download for your personal use if you wish to have a desktop picture, etc. I am actually flattered to say this.

Thanks to my fellow ATS'ers for your support. I am humbled by the comments.

I empathize with your pain in this aspect. But they are there, right? And others should see their beauty for what they are.

Thank you for your time to write this.

Some nice pics there. You seem to have a good understanding of light and negative space. I would suggest, if you aren't yet, to take a multiple shot of each subject. It gives you much more flexibility when you are just starting out. If one shot misses the right light, composition, motion, etc., the next one may catch it. It also gives you the opportunity to look at your photos and see what works best. This is really especially helpful when shooting wildlife.

Thank you for the flags, I am honored. Any comments?

I live 45 minutes away right behind the Cleveland Zoo, and it's a shame I haven't been able
to make it out to the Akron Zoo!

I want to go sooooooo bad!

I don't usually comment on the work of other photographers, but in this case, I am very impressed. My favorite is the cat. I am a 'formerly' aspiring photographer. . .I went to the edge with DSLRS, but now I am strictly a point and shoot kind.

For some reason, point and shoots are just my thing. . .however, I am a Canon user, but I won't hold that against you.

edit on 20-6-2013 by Divine Strake because: Rent at the zoo is too damn high.
