Apparently Paris Jackson ate a bunch of pills and cut herself up with a meat cleaver.

I know it sucks being 16. Being a teenager these days is difficult. Adding that Michael Jackson was her father must also be difficult.

Yes she is a privileged young girl, but it must come with extraordinary pressures.

She's a beautiful young girl and I hope she gets the counseling she needs... I think we'll see great things from her.

The way I see it is this girl wouldn't have done this were he still alive. If he is, it seems his own daughter doesn't know it.

Not having a father is hard. Especially with all the allegations that were made against him before his death.

But what I don't get is that being young and beautiful is that she must have lots of friends to help deal with that kind of stuff. Although if she was recently hurt in a relationship maybe the friends weren't enough.

And it sounds like she is in with a bad crowd. Drug overdose. At that age in a culture that glorifies recreational drug use with Cheech and Chong movies she hasn't learned that drug use is actually quite dangerous as are many of the friends in that lifestyle. Marijuana use as harmless as it seems it proven to increase the development of psychological problems like bi-polar disorder and increase the chance that the disorder will set on at an earlier age. The rest of the drugs more potent than "harmless" marijuana. Forget it. It's a death trap.

This was being discussed, in some depth, on mid-morning magazine television by a load of people who have never met the girl, almost seemed a like they were exploiting the tragedy for light entertainment.

Sounds like a cry for help to me. I hope they can stop fighting over money long enough,

To get this child the help she needs. However, I'm not betting on it.
