Here's a conspiracy to sink our teeth into. It involves a company wanting to spawn up a civilian sea based ferry service in Tampa, with its port of call being MacDill AFB, home of US Central Command. This will at least give those who like to snoop around the web for tiny bits of information some home work to pass time. Things to research like the company headquarters, founders, ownership, recent business dealings, public documents, subsidiaries, investors, et al.

www.tampabay.com...

The president of HMS Ferries Inc. told a group of civic leaders in Tampa on Wednesday that he is usually skeptical about such inquiries. But lawyer Ed Turanchik was persuasive in his pitch that a market exists here and, after further study, Dronkert was convinced. "Ed's enthusiasm and the facts have brought us here today," Dronkert said. "What we have found is that Tampa Bay is ripe for this kind of service. And we like to think of ourselves as experts in marine transportation."

HMS and Turanchik formally unveiled plans for what they are calling high-speed ferry service that would start as commuter boat transportation between MacDill Air Force Base and southern Hillsborough County, home to many of its employees. Ferry boats also would be used for transportation to large events on either side of the bay, such as Tampa Bay Rays baseball games in St. Petersburg and Tampa Bay Lightning hockey games in the Channel District.
...
Turanchik said the service in southern Hillsborough would likely be based in the Big Bend area. He declined to name a site, saying the company is exploring three or four options.

Premise of the Conspiracy

I was told that MacDill is planning on stocking up on a bunch of stuff like tanks, artillery, and even anti-aircraft batteries. So much increased weapons stock that it's feared by military brass that the amount of shipments over the next few years would cause civilians in the area to become worried that there's a concern on behalf of the military for the security of the base, and thus the city of Tampa. Essentially asking the question, "Why does our government want to stock up on so much defense for the base all of the sudden, what are they afraid of coming our way?"

As of right now there is no sea port of any great capability directly on MacDill. The advent of a ferry service will give MacDill an excuse for the funds from congress to build a large on base dock, provide cover for the increased water based traffic around the base, as well as make it easier to get the stockpiles to the base under cloak.

Some speculate that they will also be flying new long distance drones out of MacDill; and the wing is to be a new arm of USSOCOM.
www.wired.com...
As of June 2012, it appears that SOCOM doesn't have an on base drone wing. I gotta believe they want one.

Could Tampa be where our military will remotely fly drones over America when we move from destabilization to crisis stage? It would explain the buildup of the base, in particular its defenses. More information is needed on the company and players involved.

Also an interesting tidbit is that the Big Bend area is the location of the local power supply.

A little about MacDill on wikipedia:

The host unit at MacDill AFB is the 6th Air Mobility Wing (6 AMW), assigned to the Air Mobility Command's 21st Expeditionary Mobility Task Force. In addition to operating KC-135R Stratotanker and C-37A Gulfstream aircraft, the 6 AMW provides day-to-day mission support to more than 3,000 personnel in its immediate command, along with more than 50 Mission Partners comprising over 12,000 additional personnel, to include the United States Central Command (USCENTCOM), United States Special Operations Command (USSOCOM), Special Operations Command Central (SOCCENT) and a detachment of United States Africa Command (AFRICOM). MacDill also bases the Aircraft Operations Center of the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration, whose NOAA Corps flies "Hurricane Hunter" missions in WP-3D Orion and Gulfstream IV aircraft. The 6 AMW is a 3,000-person force organized into four groups, in addition to the wing commander's immediate staff. The 6 AMW also has a collocated "Associate" wing at MacDill, the 927th Air Refueling Wing (927 ARW) of the Air Force Reserve Command (AFRC). The 6 AMW and the 927 ARW operate and share the same assigned KC-135 Stratotanker aircraft.

From manta:

HMS Global Maritime, Inc in New Albany, IN is a private company categorized under Ferries. Our records show it was established in 2002 and incorporated in Indiana.

Oddity here is that according to page 3 of the official company flip book, HMS Global Maritime was founded not in 2002, but 1994. Sure could be a mistake on the part of Manta, but, it is a discrepancy, and discrepancies don't quell suspicion.

Also, according to the flip book it seems no shock that MacDill is under consideration, it seems contracts with military bases is a big part of their business,

From Corporate Wiki:www.corporationwiki.com...

Updated 3/13/2013 - This profile of Hms Ferries, Inc. was created using data from Texas Secretary of State

President of HMS Ferris

Treasurer:
Brian Seale

The odd thing here is that according to the news story article, Greg Dronkert appears to be the president of the company. Though evidently is not based on the fact

They are currently looking for employees as well:

This is likely a legitimate business endeavor. But, if not, let's find out! It's good a exercise if nothing else.

According to opencorporates.com...

GREGORY A DRONKERT is President and VP of the Florida branch of operations:
opencorporates.com...

Interesting, the official site's brochure lists Waggoner as President.

Interesting that site also lists the Florida branch as a foreign company:
HORNBLOWER MARINE SERVICES-FLORIDA, INC.
Company Number
F02000004787
Status
Active
Company Type
Foreign for Profit
Jurisdiction
Florida (US)

Scratch that. It seems the roles are completely reversed in the Florida branch:
HORNBLOWER MARINE SERVICES-FLORIDA, INC.
JOHN W WAGGONER
JOHN W WAGGONER, secretary
GREGORY A DRONKERT, vice president
GREGORY A DRONKERT, president
ROBERT P HERRE, secretary
ROBERT P HERRE
ROBERT P HERRE, chairman
BRIAN K SEALE
BRIAN K SEALE, secretary
BRIAN K SEALE, chairman
JOHN M KEEVER, agent

Oddities are building.

The Florida Branch was created in 2002 evidently. Ten years before they decide to start a Florida branch? That's one hell of a market study period...
