You must do it peaceably, because any other way and they say your a dangerous subversive. So when they control the media and most individuals belief systems they can white wash any thing!

If you protest in some way that isn't peaceful, doesn't that by definition make you dangerous? I mean to say non-peaceful means someone or something gets hurt.

And I'm not sure about the "they" controlling most individuals' belief systems. ATS has belief systems all over the place. Americans thought that our savior would be, Obama, Romney, Ron Paul, or staying away from the vote. I don't see that nearly universal control you're talking about, but I might be misunderstanding.

Care to explain?

It is time we realized that protesting is not the solution. If we want to change this system, if we want to end the suppression and the destruction of life on this planet then it is time that we begin to evolve spiritually.

Only a revolution of consciousness can save us. Changing the political leaders will not change anything, there is no politician that is going to come riding in on a white horse to save the planet. This is something the people must come together and do themselves. We must learn to live from the heart, and not the head, we must learn compassion and kindness for each other. We must learn to live in love, and not in fear.

We must teach our children to go within, to meditate, to feel the love of their own being, if we do this, children will grow up living true to themselves. They will not develop anxiety or fear, or stress, because they will have trained their minds not to become conditioned. It is the conditioning of our minds that have caused all the problems in this world. If we break the conditioning within ourselves, we become free from the chains of the system. We see the illusion the system has kept us in, the invisible prison. We see exactly what needs to be done, and how to do it. We become a beacon of positivity and love that others around us start to sense, and they too will begin to change, all because you changed yourself. Be the change you want to see, and the change will literally unfold around you. Do not fear being judged by society just because your ideas are strange or out of the box. Be yourself, be different. Realize that nature is our friend, and is not to be dominated, but rather, lived in balance with.

We do not need to protest anything, because the problem is not external. The problem is within us. It is only there that the problem can be solved. Learn to love yourself, instead of fear yourself. Learn to know yourself, instead of being told who you are. Become responsible for your own actions, because you are the creator of your life, and as long as you allow others to influence your actions, you cannot possibly create the life you truly want. Change yourself, change the world. The protest is within you. It is not anywhere else.

You don't. You take direct action, with immediate and decisive consequences, against oppressive systems. Protesting doesn't get you anywhere. You have to do something. The only meaningful social changes that have ever taken place on this planet were instances when people destroyed the institutions that held their slavery in place. They didn't just talk about it. They didn't vote on it. They didn't try to "influence public opinion". They targeted tyrannical systems and smashed them to pieces.

When is the last time that people set out to hold a "violent" protest?

Fact is, TPTB dont want us in the streets protesting.

Doesnt matter if its OWS or the "Tea Party", State sponsored agent provocateurs are at every event trying to provoke violence so they can explain the use of jack booted thugs to end the gathering.

They dont even want you outside: www.fightbacknews.org...

You created a thread with a post that is two sentences long, and you contradict yourself within the first sentence?

So when they control the media and most individuals belief systems they can white wash any thing!

And the second sentence is a lie.

And finally, if you want to protest, do it like a human-being, not like an animal.

Modern "protesting" is not really effective. So we march in the street (have a parade)... so does Macys. I think the idea was originally laid out that our elected representatives regard the peoples will by paying heed to their wishes through a redress of grievances by petition.

This was one form. Another might be a picket or "demonstration" by "occupying" (milling about) some business or government office. Then, if these avenues fail to make changes in a government policy, that is considered un- representative and then you can throw off that burden by force or revolt.

Dissent is important. So is civil disobedience. Now a days though you will get in trouble if you trespass the law. Its really easy on Governments part to require a permit and then not issue it. Enforced by police who more and more don't protect the peoples rights but trod on them.
