Mike Mulugeta's fate as a former suspect: Is he alive & safe?

Last week, Mike Mulugeta was the first "suspect" named in the Boston marathon (As opposed to persons of interest). Mulugeta is a traditionally Ethiopian surnname.

However, I couldn't at the time, and still cant, find any images of this person no longer a suspect, nor any pictures or photos of why this name came into the picture as a suspect in the first place.

Is this another person - who like the now late Sunil Tripathi - who was to be blamed until better suspects (ie, Tsarnaev) could be spotted?

Most importantly, my concern is how do we know Mike Mulugeta is still alive (unlike Sunil Tripathi RIP)?

For, Sunil Tripathi was also falsely accused concurrent with being a missing persons, and now he is confirmed dead.

Maybe the posibility of two teams isnt far reached..thats why automatically they have two names ready. Maybe the brothers were a back up team. If Mulugeta turns up dead, then the conspirations are no longer conspirations.
