The nitrates in commercial fertilizer can definitely be used to make a bomb.

Can't speculate on this, no information. But this trend of explosions around the states right now is troubling.

Stating on the scanner that they do not want any responding units going closer than merrible (sp?) street. Hazmat 3 is only allowed beyond there? Not sure if I heard that right, but they must be worried about toxic fumes from the fire, and other toxins from the explosion.

Fox is reporting now.

Well there was a fire at this plant earlier today, and they said that this fire started from embers that were remaining form the fire that happened earlier. Not going to jump from accident just yet, but one thing that is odd is on the scanner they are having a lot of radio interference, which they didn't have at first.

Watching CNN and they have live pictures and the fire is quite wide spread.

Just advised any fire department that is close to the fertilizer plant to pull back. Must be they are going to let it burn. Situation has either gotten out of control, or they are just not willing to risk the lives of the firefighters.

Searching around for any video and news.
