Awesome, where are you going to eat?

Some advice, if he orders you a water and a salad while he gets a beer and steak with ketchup, it's time to leave him.

I've got some good news, although it's a personal nature and doesn't affect the world, it still brightened my day. My sister was diagnosed with a 2 cm tumor, close to the brain stem. After several months of monitoring, X rays, CT scans, PET scans, etc.. we found out her prognosis is very good. They expect a full recovery after gamma knife treatment. Like I said, not world shaking, but still great news.

Oh man DAVID64

That's amazing news, fantastic
Love and hugs for your sis from the UK

That would make me happy.

If I had a swing like that on my back porch I would ride it everyday.

I found a website that reports...(Happy
News)...and here it is!

www.happynews.com...

I have thought for many years that there should at least be one radio station and one TV station that reports good news only.

I got some good news. Last week I eradicated a dry-wood termite nest in the siding on my moms home. Also dealt with the cockroach problem in the backyard. Yesterday I repaired the broken part in the microwave oven with superglue. Saved hundreds of dollars on expensive service calls and the cost of a new microwave.

Tomorrow the next zone for the curbside recycle program is opening in a nearby town. Metals and flea market goods will be free for the grabbing. This whole weekend will be like Christmas.

I have some good news, it made my day anyway.

On Easter Sunday, I was down visiting my family in central Texas. I have 4 nieces and a nephew. The weekend was going well. Even had a spot of rain, which was wonderful, as I had all but forgotten how it even smelled. Anyhow, on with the story.

One of my nieces who is about 10 years old came running up to me with a pinkish cheeping blob that they had found which turned out to be a newly hatched sparrow. Awwww man... Helpless little thing being carted about by 5 kids ranging from 5 -11 years of age. Well, the grown-ups all weighed the odds, which we do, giving the little guy a snowballs' chance in hell.

The hours went by, and I finally gave in to my closet-case optimist. I showed my niece how to dip bread in water and pry the little bird's beak open without hurting it so she could force feed it. I instructed her not to overdo the feeding, and just try to keep him warm.

Anyhow, the wife and I set off for home and left the family behind, setting about our routines and never giving the little bird another thought......

Well... Just yesterday, I got a text message with a photo of my niece holding a fully-feathered and happy "Herald". I was floored... I am very proud of her. I just assumed that interest would be lost and the little bird would die of neglect. I could not be happier to have been so wrong. She is trying to teach him how to fly now, and he sits on her shoulder and goes everywhere with her.

It is news that just made me feel really good.

Great story

You just can never discount that "Mother instinct"

You also gave her a very valuable lesson on life. I think I have a favorite story.
