Here we go again. I am calling this the Merry Go Round of Doom.

If you do not believe in 2012, you should not waste your time by being here.

DENY IGNORANCE!

That is why I am in this thread!

2012 was LAST year. It passed by with nothing really happening on the doom front.

I am not wasting my time, I am helping others to see that the information here is based on, well, not much at all.

You don't need to help others to see, they can see for themselves. You are just an extra who does nothing to add to the discussion that others are here for.

I think at this point, it's safe to consider "2012" to be a convenient grouping. You can't just dismiss it by virtue of the grouping, or we could have no discussion on misfiled items. Would it help if there was a category called 2013?

The fact that 2012 was last year is only relevant to things that didn't happen last year... And dismissing it out of hand does a disservice to the denial of ignorance.

The 'ignorance' in question is the lack of understanding, or what is hidden from the human race, that we on this planet are always, every day on the verge of catastrophism. Our chosen amnesia is no defence to the inevitable fall of civilisations, yet again.
Our history is hidden but is littered with the joint falls of man, animal and planet and conversely joint recovery!

Those aware of the past know it is always revisited and the signs that our ancestors attempted to warn us with are purposely shrouded in mist. Can you imagine the widespread panic if the common man ever understood what could happen at any moment, hence the essential constant distraction, hiding of history and dumbed down education.

Is there anything to fear? Don't know and can't say. But life will go on......it always does. Personally, I worry not at all. But the theory of 'uniformity' is just a comfort blanket. Take that as you want,

Doom isn't the same since 2012 came and went. In a sense the world changed. You can't just copypaste it into 2013. It's gone, over, finite, kaput, destroyed, killed, doomed and rather lame.

But thanx for the memories.

Wrong , I just consulted with the GFL and the end of the world will happen on 4-16-13 Yellowstone will go off and we will get hit by a comet, while the earth is sucked into a blackhole, and to top it off, we will be invaded by aliens

Then we die defeated. Are you seriously no longer seeing patterns, where you saw patterns before? Did 2012 just teach you to close your eyes and think of England?

What are people even doing here if they're not willing to take in ideas?

NO YOUR GFL IS WRONG.

The invasion will occur before the comet hits and the Aliens will get smeared by the Comet cause they were not watching the rear view mirror in the Dreadnought. A bit of precision please.

No, there's another way........ a sungrazing comet could hit our sun, and composing mainly of ice, will extinguish the fire as it melts.

What NASA needs to do then is send an Astronut equipped with a lighter to restart the sun
All in all...... should take about 3 days

Watch Rome and what they do over the next year or so.. They are the most powerful entity on the planet and I get the feeling they will decide whether we end up in oblivion or peace.. Watch out for he great comet at the end of the year also.

An invalid name.
Asteroid names are similar to that, but the "DA" bit was probably just thrown in there because of the recent pass of DA14, and the person who made up the name didnt know any better.

From what I've gathered, you're on the right track thinking its going to be a massive sunspot.

The Solar Transition
Time to put pieces together… the sun is getting hotter from all the dust and debris the solar system is now experiencing. The increased fuel will increase the thermal destructive limit, which will cause a corresponding increase in magnetic ionization level, which will make more elements available for the stellar combustion process—the sun is going to get brighter and hotter. Initially, this will occur as bright flashes, like a mini novae, until sufficient material is available to hold the magnetic ionization limit at the next quantum step. At that time, the sun will suddenly jump up in stellar class, and remain there. (Well, “up” in the [Larson's] Reciprocal System, “down” in conventional astronomy, since they have it backwards.)
The transition should be interesting. When the magnetic ionization level of the sun increases, it will be like throwing a cup of gasoline on the barbecue grill coals—a burst of flame and thermal activity, so much that it will move the thermal speeds past the speed of light. This “inverse thermal emission” actually occurs frequently on a small scale and is documented in detail in Prof. KVK Nehru's paper, Glimpses Into the Structure of the Sun: The Solar Interior and the Sunspots, and is the reason that sunspots are dark and appear cool. Inverse (FTL) thermal motion is super-hot, so hot that it appears cold and the region of the sun where it takes place goes dark, as in the sunspot umbra. There are already indications of this beginning to occur. Except this time, the whole sun will become an “umbra”—there should be a bright flash, like a nova flare, when the gas hits the fire (additional elements suddenly being available for fuel from the jump in magnetic ionization), then the sun will go dark, like it went out. But only for a short time, until the initial burst of new fuel has burned up and the sun returns to the zone of stability. Like most things, this has happened before and will happen again.

First post in aaaages.

And I see that nothing has changed…

As to 2013 being the new 2012; this need, this desire almost, that certain folk exhibit for the world to end in some way or another is quite, quite scary.

Sure, what we have here on planet Earth isn’t perfect, but there is perfection to be found – and a lot of it - within it. Why wish to get rid of that?

Sure it needs changing in many ways, but there’s an awful lot that doesn’t need changing. So why feel the need to see it destroyed?

I just get the impression that all this continuing and repetitive doom mongering is a blatant example of one faction wanting to impose an agenda on others who don’t follow their belief system.

Its religion all over again…

And as for this:

You don't need to help others to see, they can see for themselves. You are just an extra who does
nothing to add to the discussion that others are here for.

If you are right in your “research”, and we’re all going to hell in a handcart within a few days from now, why the aggression towards someone who holds differing views to you?

What difference, then, does it make if anyone disbelieves you?

Surely it can’t spoil the party if there a few counter arguments? Why not try and convince, instead of chastise?

That’s’ why you’ve posted this thread, isn’t it? To convince us of an event that will affect us all?

Then again, if you’re just promoting an idea that, somehow, gets you all excited – but that you don’t really believe – and just want to talk about it and share the doom, then that would explain your annoyance at contrary views?

Just a thought…

Its possible.. Its one thing that shouldn't be overlooked and it could explain these 3 days of darkness theories.

This change is not the end by any means. This isn't doom porn. If the sun blinks out, so what? It's completely outside anyone's control, so why stress it? My 2 cents: Don't panic! Sit back, relax, take some photos, and avoid places like Wal-Mart where lots of scared people are going to be berserking to first. A new age is upon us and I, for one, am excited
