Honestly, I do not care whether the 4,700 were men, women, children, civilians, terrorists, Muslims, Christians etc. They were people and under our laws, if charged with a crime they deserve full due process of the law. Either way it is MURDER. When did we begin picking and choosing who receives due process? I wish Bin Laden had been afforded the rights of Due Process so that we may have a trial on record, I think we would have been interested in the information this would have afforded the world in respect to 9/11 and involvement other than al Qaeda. How convenient drones are destroy the person destroy the evidence destroy the witness and the proof.

Any "legitimate target" that can be tagged enemy combatants, and/or "terrorists" especially any person(s) or sites considered "leadership" and/or enemy command/control compounds/camps etc. can be targeted, and with orders given, drone strikes can be swift and brutal... Of course any innocents killed in such "operations" are unfortunately considered "collateral damage"

Too bad, so sad.

The NDAA2012 already defined the US as part of the battlefield.

And now this?

In written responses to questions submitted by the Senate Intelligence Committee, John Brennan, the Obama administration’s nominee for director of the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA), refused to rule out drone assassinations of American citizens on US soil. The committee on Friday released a declassified version of Brennan’s responses.

And yet "We The People" still believe that the government officials protect the interests of the American (or Canadian) people. Is it that people are either blind, stupid, scared, or too busy to make them accountable to us?

They are going to Drone tax evaders in the not too distant future.

North America, Europe and China are going to create this Dystopian world and the rest will be it's playground from which to reap unless the people of those countries get their act together.

Honestly, good people are in each one of those regions yet do nothing.
The good people are too scared to say no?

If it were up to me we'd be making a totally new country. Devoid of any of this culture.

But guess why it's not possible?
Because those countries would invade instantly and slaughter everyone dreaming of such a place...

Funny how the murder of innocent civilians is used as a justification as to why America wages unjust war on all these countries in the name of protecting us/them from "terrorists"....and then we go there and inflict terror on these poor people. These Drone attacks are beyond cowardly and the "people"...yeah...remember us....DON'T WANT THEM !!!!!

You do realize it was republicans who bought the drones, right? Heck, they're still saying we need to spend more on the army!
I'm not trying to justify Obama's actions. I'm just saying you need to get real. Putting the blame solely on Obama is stupid, and it is just what they want you to do.

But you do justify it, or excuse or palliate it. Bush is history, Obama will be doing it another few years unless it becomes politically impossible for him.

Like actors in a movie, they have different roles - but both parties work for the same goal. Like the good cop bad cop technique, Democrats play the role of the "Good Party", not because they actually defend the interests of the poor - but because their role allows them to pursue the goals in stealth, or cloaked. In war the greatest advantage is to be invisible.

It would seem that the point of the post went over your head.

Obama ran for POTUS the first time with campaign motto 'Hope and Change'.

Some people thought that the candidate meant hope and change for the better.

Do you think it's just coincidence that most of the advanced technologies we have access to now, were often first developed for military applications?

Imagine if we spent just a quarter of the defense budget, along with access to all of their advanced facilities, labs, test sites and equipment, their innovative researchers, and scientists that are all exclusively for military now, and use all of this for meaningful projects that could benefit all of humanity, what we could accomplish...

Nah, we're just too busy trying to find better ways to kill and destroy.

This is quite possibly why humanity may be doomed.

LOL this is silly.

I went after Bush when he was in office and Obama has increased these Drone strikes. It's sad how Obama worshippers want to blame everyone else for the failed leadership of Obama. He hasn't just increased Drone strikes that kill innocent children. Income inequality in America has increased as Corporate profits skyrockets and the Fed pumps the market with cheap dollars under Obama.

Stop crying about Bush and Republicans everytime someone points out the multiple failings of Obama.

No offense, but Obama is no failure. His efforts to destroy this country are spot on. He is really quite successful and makes his predecessors look like a bunch of rookies. So glad he's got that flexibility now, you know what I mean?

If any of you U.S. Americans are still pro Drone-Warfare, imagine another country did this.
Imagine Germany did this.
Rheinmetall Defence Electronics has a UAV program (circumventing the military restrictions enacted on us after WW2).
Maybe a peace treaty would have been a good idea after all.

*just ranting... UAV-tech sucks!

i wouldn't worry too much about the drones other than them spying. now add the RFID chip that's coming and then you have a real problem with the drones.

your cars, computers, cellphones, passports are already RFID equipt....somethings are better left behind

Right. So. You have made up for the number killed in 9/11, and then some. Can you guys call it a day and stop sending these things to kill people now? Are we all square?

Wonder how many children have been murdered because of these types of attacks?

We (in the US) will never know the body count because they're not Americans...sad.

Republican, democrat, they both seem to think they know best, they also
seem to think they are above the law, but i guess if you can have civilians
assassinated and invade countries on a flat out lie and get away with the
crime then its really hard to have an unbiased view of right and wrong,
it seems they start to think they decide right and wrong on their whims.

It almost seems like their ideology is the same as most leaders, before
we save the world we must first destroy things that will need saving.
in a world made up of free willed individuals its amazing how often the
conflict between 3 or 4 people who hate each other drags in entire countries.

Interesting that you should mention Rheinmetall. Apparently, they are also involved in 'Star Wars' technology.

We're starting to mae the Nazis look like pussycats. This is simply murder on our part and makes the US a new Fourth Reich. Same thing goes for Israel and its treatment of the Palestinians in Gaza. Germany has already stated that the subs it gave to Israel have been armed by these Zionist radical with nuclear tipped cruise missiles. A new false flag will occur soon and the mass media and the American 'sheeple' will blindly accept it as another example of those bad, bad Muslims.
