Re "Re-education Camps"....please view this video of an interview by an FBI Informant who infiltrated the Weather Underground (headed by Obama's mentor, Bill Ayers) for what could be the culmination of a long time conspiracy:

You can also Google "Fema camps", "KBR contract for detention centers", "Army and forced relocation" and "Army and civilian inmate labor camps" and probably get some additional relevant info to bring it up to date.

Please view this snopes page on the Obama/Ayers connection and re-evaluate your use of the word "mentor".

Joe Biden wants "common ground" for gun control measures.....It is appeasement but then again politics is the art of compromise so here is what I would propose:
1) Universal background checks where guns have to be transferred thru either a local FFL (for a fee) OR the local Police (for free).
2) The ability to challenge with due process any denial (ie veterans who return and find that thru the NICS they cant buy a weapon and are not even told why). As long as the government controls the background and approval process it could slowly start to tighten approvals (being a member of a "conspiracy site" for example).
3) Registration for High Capacity Magazines defined as larger than the standard for the weapon (ie > 30 rds for an AR or AK platform; >20 rds for a .308 platform; >18 rounds for a handgun; >20 rds for a shotgun magazine). In other words just the 50 and 100 rd drum mags.
4) Remove the restrictions on semi-auto assault shotguns classified as "Destructive Devices" requiring BATFE
5) Allow purchase and possession of new (not just grandfathered) full auto weapons if approved by BATFE.
6) A commitment by government to never confiscate weapons en masse from citizens. And any executive or legislative action to do so, directly or indirectly (ie international treaties or UN directives) would be a treasonable offense for US members of government and null and void if international.

Rahm Emanuel wants to take the American people out of the gun control debate in favor of law enforcement. What if we had gun control where only SWAT teams could be armed and the rest of LE had to wear a british ''bobby'' hat and carry a billy (bobby) club instead of a gun?

The Assault (styled) Rifle is the "line in the sand"....once the semi-automatic rifle with cosmetic military style features (collapsible stock, pistol grip, bayonet lug and flash hider) is banned for its "looks" they intend to turn the tables and use the fact that these cosmetic features do not affect the performance of a firearm and will seek to ban all semi-automatic rifles because their function is just the same. Once the camel gets his nose under the tent it can bring the whole tent down....then they will take that "semi-atuomatic" ban and apply it to handguns because (as Obama said in the debate) "hanguns are used much more frequently than an AK-47....in (the commission) of crimes." And he is right (they are much more concealable than a long rifle or shotgun). And then once the "semi-auto" function is demonized they will seek to ban your Remington 1100 shotgun for bird hunting (well maybe they will make an exception if you keep it locked up at a federally inspected gun club when not hunting and every round is accounted for). It is time to draw the line in the sand....or the last stand will end up being over your bird gun.

I believe that Obama is prepared to issue more Executive Orders on Gun Control. To take the heat off of him for circumventing his constitutional authority he prefers that new laws come out of the Legislative Branch; however, if they are unable to come to a consensus in Congress and there is another convenient mass shooting (or an assassination attempt on him or gun control proponents) then he will likely issue an Executive Order (or series of same) to tighten gun control measures. Such measures will center on the "Non-Sporting" issue. For those that do not know contemporary gun control (post 1934 and 1968) was initiated by President George H. W. Bush (#41) when he issued an EO banning the importation of certain "non-sporting" rifles (ie, H&K 90 series rifles) in 1989. On the surface that would be the cosmetic features of pistol grips, capability of accepting hi-cap mags, bayonet lug and flash hider but I believed that they banned the SR-9 rifles as well which had the thumbhole stock and no flash hider. That same "non-sporting" purpose was adopted by the Clinton Administration for the original Assault Weapons Ban (AWB) AND the BATF directive to classify certain assault style shotguns as "Destructive Devices" by virtue of the "non-sporting" precedent (unlike the AWB this one was not sunset). These directives and executive orders need to be challenged on constitutional grounds or Obama will ban all (not just imported) guns deemed non-sporting (arbitrarily and capriciously)....even if the AR platforms are used for competition events. If the guns are deemed non-sporting (which was NOT a condition in the Second Amendment btw) then they could try to apply the same to ammunition as well. The Non-Sporting Issue needs to be challenged now Before any Executive Order is issued and has the "color of law" to paint the landscape for compliance.

I just saw a statistic on a PBS report that 200,000 (not a misprint) Americans die each year from Preventable Medical Mistakes....I wonder how many of those are children. These mass shootings are relatively rare but quite sensationalized and when they involve children they play our heart strings. The resultant fear generated from the mass shootings is like being afraid of going swimming after a shark attack on the opposite coast (relatively rare statistically but can be over sensationalized). Gun Control plays on fear. Be Not Afraid. Stand Strong for your rights. Personally I have no problem with Registration IF it comes with the promise that there will Never be Gun Confiscation and that any Legislation or Executive Actions are RULED A PRIORI to be Unconstitutional and any one making such proposals is defacto guilty of TREASON. Let's see if B.H. Obama, E. Holder, J. Biden and D. Feinstein would agree to that.

The camel already had its nose under the tent with the National Firearms Act of 1934 and the Gun Control Act of 1968 (which set the precedent for government regulation of firearms - albeit limited). The semi-auto Assault Weapon represents the last bastion of the 2nd Amendment because once it is gone the average citizen is not able to carry out the intent for its inclusion in the Bill of Rights. The excuse for further "infringement" after an AWB will be the very rationale of the pro-gun proponents; "the assault styled rifle is only used in less than 1% of all crimes, including murder" because the semi-automatic mechanism allows any gun to shoot a bullet as fast as the trigger can be pulled which has nothing to do with the color of the gun's furniture or cosmetic features like a flash hider, pistol grip, etc. Then they will also go after military ammo (even tho 7.62 x 51 is also win. .308 in civilian hunting rifles; 5.56 nato = rem .223, etc). And then once on the ammo they could go after certain shotgun shells (ie buckshot) on the rationale that "you can shoot a whole clip's worth of bullets in one shot" (ie, 24 #4 buck pellets). Then they will go after bolt actions on the excuse that they are the more accurate rifles preferred for sniper platforms. Finally they may go for anything "military" from "sniper style" scopes to CQB scopes like EoTech, etc, then bayonets, parts for military style weapons and eventually even "camouflage" clothing. Once the camel gets its head into the tent (AWB w/ no sunset) then it can get its whole body in and when that happens the entire tent will eventually come down. We The People...are the tent.
