Typhoon Bopha: Philippines storm toll passes 1,000

The number of people killed after Typhoon Bopha struck the southern Philippines has risen to more than 1,000, officials say. With nearly 850 people still missing, the toll is likely to rise further, Civil Defence chief Benito Ramos said.

Over 1,000 deaths from this storm and not even a blip on our news sites. Yeah, I know we had Sandy, and plenty of gun violence lately.

But I think it's important to remember there are plenty of tragedies happening all over the world.

For perspective, Hurricane Sandy killed about 100. Typhoon Bopha has killed over 1,000 and the death toll is still climbing.

its not on the news because you can't make a law banning typhoons the gun thing has an agenda. only thing that gets publicized to death are things that make and alter laws.
