The Bible is the literal word of God, Discuss?

The bible critics will be unmoved by even the most astute explanation of any seemingly contrary bible verses.
And bible believers are very doubtful to be swayed by any secular arguments which refute biblical material.
This is good.
There is room for all of us. Believe what you feel is right for you.
Most of the time the reward for attempting to change others beliefs is misery, on both sides.
Theism, and atheism are both right, for the individual. Why do most people find it impossible to see that maybe no one need be wrong. You can both be right. I am not just being patronizing, either, I truly believe that just as we all share unique lives, we have unique realities, and unique truths. All of which could be just what they are supposed to be.
