Jesus is the Jewish version of the God man. Just like Mythra and Dionysus it was not meant to be taken literal.There were Jewish Gnostics and this god man myth is beginning spirituality but gnostics were killed off.So basically we never got passed the Dick and Jane level of spirituality

Your right most people can't accept that the building blocks of life came from space. If they can't accept that they sure can't accept that we are just star dust after a supernova.

If they can't accept that then how do they accept creationism would mean something came from space.

If thats not bad enough evolution is the product of star dust and building blocks of life from space.

So they sure as heck couldn't handle a Jesus telling them all that.
