Adam West Recount?

Rep. Allen West (R-Fla.) is seeking a recount following Tuesday's election.

The campaign wants a hand recount in Palm Beach and St. Lucie counties, and also filed injunctions to impound ballot machines. A hearing is scheduled for 5 p.m. Thursday in Palm Beach County and Friday in St. Lucie County.

just about same old same olde until....

"There are still provisional ballots, absentee ballots and military ballots to be counted across the district so at this point in time we don’t know what the margin will be," said West spokesman Tim Edison. "There are several thousand votes still to be counted. We are only a couple hundred votes outside of an automatic recount."

Wait a minute....

the ballots have not all been counted????

the provisional, absentee, and military all uncounted... wait a minute I thought the election votes had all benn counted... every voice heard

right????

Should a recount occur they will be for the West race only. He is contesting his race because of the narrow margin in that race. What they do when they make a projection and it is just that a projection is use statistical data and voting trends to project a winner. The projected winner is almost always the official winner.

This is also why Karl Rove had his hissy fit on election night. He saw the totals for Ohio that were counted and saw a narrow margin. And believed it was in the realm of possibility that Romney could win it with the votes outstanding. Fox News projected Ohio to Obama because they knew what district the outstanding votes were from primarily Cuyahoga County a firmly Democratic stronghold. They felt comfortable projecting the State for Obama because the amount of votes outstanding in Cuyahoga County was so large that it dwarfed the votes outstanding in the other counties that were likely to vote Romney.
