You're Allowing the Surveillance State to Win

While the American public is glued to the television watching that dog
and pony show called the elections, American Idol, or whatever, the
military-industrial complex is springing up all around us.

Cops are going into crowds and secretly recording suspicious characters. Turns
out LE was standing outside the Republican National Convention taking pics for
their new facial recognition software.

Of course the list goes on. Drones spying on us, cameras everywhere the
ability to spy on us through any large home appliance, cameras everywhere
phone apps that see through walls, cameras everywhere the NSA's wiretapping
program, cameras everywhere Trapwire and on.
And on. We are in so much trouble. If we don't stand up to this soon...our kids and
grand kids will be nothing more than serfs in a surveillance state.

That's the title of the video. Did you watch it? Her premise is by not speaking up
we are allowing it to happen. I do agree with that premise. "By allowing that
chilling effect to take control..." I talk to my family and friends about it, make
cheesy little videos for them with news articles set to music to try to get them to
pay attention. The first step is awareness. Beyond that I'm not
sure what else to do but I'm open to possibilities.

I watched it. You can speak all day till your blue in the face. Doesn't mean anyone is going to listen. The majority of people are stupid and don't care what happens as long as they can still buy things they don't need.
I agree with raising awareness then again, do I really want to live with these plugged in plastic people? or should I let them perish in their own greed?

I can see it going something like this
" Hey Mr government dude don't put that camera up"
"Screw you I'm the government since when do we listen to you?"

"What if this information gets into the wrong hands," the anchor asks? Ha. Too late. It IS in the wrong hands.

I applaud you, orbitbaby...but we're a day late and a dollar short. Don't get me wrong; I'ma make noise and be a pain-in-tha-ass about it all too, but the ears are deaf and the apathy strong...
