Some very powerful pictures that nature can paint for us. I would love to talk but my words just would not do justice to such beauty on display.

My very first thread so please be gentle! I just wanted to share...

Great stuff mate - some real eye candy among that lot.

I've taken a few for a rolling screensaver - cheers for the find.

ETA: This Supercell in Wyoming is simply stunning - my favorite.

Thanks guys and gals

Sometimes it is just a breath of fresh air to take deep breath and enjoy the world going on around you.

Some are a bit frightening to me personally because just this past summer there was a derecho that knocked down several trees on my property. I have 4 buildings on my property and I was lucky enough to have no trees fall on them and I have several oaks and tulip poplars that are approaching 200 years old.

I do love nature displaying its power...

I love clouds, could watch them for hours. Saw one yesterday that actually looked like a Battleship, complete with waves crashing off the bow. That whole thing of us seeing shapes and patterns in random blobs of cloud makes it so facinating.

Those are great pics. I have seen a lot of them before but there were some great ones in there. Nobody puts on a show like Mother Earth.

Nice find

Ooo, thanks for the cloud pictures. A couple of these I have never seen in person, which just gives me a mission.

The clouds you have in your avatar are nice! Is that a personal pic or was that just a cool one you got from the internet?

Is that what you would call a "wall cloud"?

I love clouds. The majority of those captures are beautiful. BUT. There are some unnatural distortions that truly do not belong. What a ruinous shame to mar a nice collection.

Nope, not mine, but I do take my own.

And yes, that is a super cell or wall cloud.
