We finally stabilzed after 1000 years of fighting, but as history teaches us it won't stay like that for long.

Cool video!

People rarely look at their own world through the lense of history, unless it is tied to a contemporary political issue or ideology (and therefore skewed). Great vid!

That was quite an insightful vid, thank you for posting so much change, and here yet we think it's always going to stay the same.

Wow, thats really cool, just look at how the world can change, territories and countries only held together by certain agreements, until one country gets fed up with that agreement and wants more, crazy how instable the central part of Europe was (Germany as its known to us now), for a very long time, during the video, that was the one place that kept changing more than anywhere else I noticed. You have to wonder what it will look like in another 1000 years, if anything

Having a European background in the family it's very interesting to see how many changes have occurred geopolitically to the European landscape in that short a period of history. Interesting to see the changes the Orient brought and the Islamic invasions too. No wonder there is so much mistrust among nations who war amongst themselves so frequently.

Europe's been at war with itself for many thousands of years and it's never really stopped. If anyone out there is pro EU watch this and see why so many Europeans hate the very thought of it.

I wish the video had provided dates, but nevertheless it was cool seeing the different territorial land grabs at recognizable points in history. Like watching the only real Risk game.
