I would just like to start this post off by stating that this is my first post on this site. Yes, after visiting this site for over a year I have finally decided to register!

Anyway, now onto something with relevancy to this thread...

This video is a clear representation of bias in the mainstream media of the USA. The fact that they think they can get away with something like this is sickening in itself. This video needs to be seen by more people... 7 billion people perhaps?

Welcome to ATS;

7 billion people would be awesome. 20 hours ago only 657 views so I guess the viral effect is on its way

Peace

EDIT: and I think it's our job to spread it. We are the red pill addicts able to get the global view of the situation . It's just too easy to sit and moan about how screwed are our governments. But if we don't take initiatives THEN THERE WILL BE NO CHANGES

Thanks for sharing the hot mike thing mate. Right out of the Obamas mouth. How much more proof is needed? Thats a real eye opener for me. How do people not see whats going on over there in the states? Dont worry, I know the same crap is happening here in the UK and most other western countrys. We are not armed here in the UK, other wise it would be a real crazy place to live. Especially for the lying two faced crooks which are elected into govt.
We hardly hear of Ron Paul over here in the UK. Although he has been mentioned, but not any longer except to say he hasnt got a chance.

The man in question here is Steve Scully

en.wikipedia.org...

I think he knew exactly what he was doing!

Feel free to let him know what you think.

When some airhead in the media pulls a stunt like that I think it only angers people. I'm sure there are people out there who will vote for Ron Paul even though they normally wouldn't because of things like this.

Steve Scully the C-SPAN host is a square shooter and he simply misspoke.

Oh that's right this is a conspiracy web site so we have to sex reality up for the terminally bored and/or paranoid.

OK IT WAS THE BILDERBERGER OPERATIVES EMPLOYING A CIA PIONEERED MINDCONTROL WEAPON CALLED A SUBSONIC NEURON QUANTUM PAIR SUBSTITUTER.

And since the C-SPAN broadcast originates from Washington they just had to swing the beam a little off the Capitol where it is usually trained to get Scully.

As Don Amici famously blooped "That ought to hold the little bastards"

I do not think it was edited.. I do however, think it was probably a simple mistake on the reporters' part. Being an anchor isn't easy, your eyes always have to be one step ahead of your mouth. Meaning, he was probably already looking at whatever script he was going to have to read next as he was finishing reading the tweet.

Not saying it's acceptable or shouldn't be pointed out, and yes, it's infuriating. But I don't think it was an intentional blackout.

Actually, after thinking about it more, it's probably more the producer's fault, or whoever chooses the tweets for the anchor to read. I'm sure they never would have meant to put through a tweet supporting Ron Paul, and the anchor is probably used to never having to say Ron Pauls name!

I love how much attention it's getting though. Has the anchor made any public correction or anything? He should

Go Ron

But the message in the tweet didn't resemble Romney at all. I could see if it was a very bland tweet but the fact it said "doesn't flip flop" how could you even think it was about Romney, I mean even on accident?

My personal opinion is there is a mole in the production crew. On the cue card/screen it said Romney, that's why when the guy got to that part he paused but said it anyway. In the production room they put the picture on our screens of the origional tweet.

Pretty funny. I've always been a fan of the theory that there will always be a few monkey wrenches thrown into this master plan that seems to be unfolding. Here is one of them.

For #'s sake, how can you even write this down?

An honest mistake? You probably come from the same ilk that thinks it was an honest mistake when the BBC reported WTC7 collapsing when it is standing behind the reporter- 'oh it was just an honest mistake...'

He clearly pauses and looks guilty when the camera goes back to him.

Perhaps us 'conspiracy theorists' see stuff that isn't there, but I doubt it when the anchor quite clearly hesitates before saying Mitt Romney. It's obvious he changed the name because he is instructed to be biased. He was going to read it all out then saw it said Ron Paul and changed it, when he looks back at the camera you can see he is thinking, 'did I get away with that one?'

Where does this mindset of yours come from- an honest mistake? Or are you in so much denial about the corruption i your country- what is it, what is going on with the people who deny the truth!?

You can't be absolutely sure his cue screen had the same image as what was shown to the rest of us. Maybe that screen said Romney, who knows. After his brain comprehended the statement and then associated it with Romney is when the pause happened, but he said it anyway.

Interestingly enough, a previous poster in this thread asked why have the tweet read on live air.

I think this is a joke, prolly a Ron Paul supporter in the production crew, throwing in an easter egg for the people that are paying attention.

of course he has been brushed aside they all were except for Romney. very clever of the liberal media really. No one will tolerate being told who they can vote for. So we'll all write our guy in. Happy second term for the socialist Obama. They know they can't win unless they split the vote. This election will be the demise of our country and freedoms that are left.

Did you ever consider the 'possibility' that the clip has been edited to intentionally include the 'misspeak' (?)
?
?

gotta love the smell of bias, agenda and opinion in the morning

You clearly have not been paying attention to this upcoming election, whatsoever.

Very odd for a Moderator.

Lol, I can't tell you how many times I've heard that, and you're saying coincidentally it only happens to Ron Paul. Watch this video and you won't be saying it was an "honest mistake" anymore.

www.youtube.com...

And All of that footage was only up until February.

If that's not good enough for you, how many times have you seen someone read a sentence perfectly, then come to a name, pause for half a second, and read a completely different name, all the while not even realizing they read the wrong name. The answer is it never happened, ever. Stop trying to apologize for these lying bastards.

Lying bunch of scumbags...How can they hold their heads up and actually face the camera.

Or for that matter, how can they even face themselves in the mirror.

I guess my biggest question is how is the MSM going to recover from all these blatant lies
and manipulations AFTER the election takes place. They are sacrificing their integrity(sic)
to "rig" and election. They are several of these corporate shills that I already despise for
their lack of even a *shred* of honesty or decency.

I mean they lie RIGHT TO OUR FACE...and then smile about it.

Hopefully, news outlets not controlled by the mainstream corporate media will benefit in the end
and perhaps even wrest control of popular viewership from them.

And then we won't have Mainstream media anymore....*tosses a penny in the well*

I'm not planning to vote for Ron Paul -- but this is troubling news.

I hope you guys win the day -- manipulation of the media and the voting system is something that strikes against ALL AMERICANS. One person -- one vote -- or someone needs to be strung up from the nearest tree.

Who is in charge of content at C-SPAN? -- that's the question here.

The way things are in America these days -- we could lose an entire state. I still wonder what happened to that island off the coast of Texas that got flattened by a storm - the authorities wouldn't even let the press fly over.

We even have "secret documents" from the Kennedy assassination we are "not allowed to see". ... I think some people are in desperate need of an attitude adjustment on exactly WHO RUNS THIS COUNTRY AND WHY IT IS HERE. Authority comes from the people and it is FOR the people -- not just for some people so they can hide their screw ups and ill gotten gains.

He only suspended "active" campaigning.

He is still a strong contender with millions of active supporters who are winning delegates
against all odds. Even with no backing from corporations or banks, no backing from
mainstream media, even with the obvious manipulation of polling, he is still standing strong.

David didn't give up against Goliath....and Ron Paul isn't quitting either

Where and when did these supposed "hot mic" remarks occur? Or is this just an unsourced youtube video described by its poster as "courtesy of GLP"?
