No actually, it is also done amongst some tribes in Egypt, Yemen, UAE and large parts of Indonesia. Portugal (Europe) also has it's own female circumcision culture.

It really does beggars belief that a woman would do that to another woman but men in those area's do not want to marry and/or associate with someone who is uncircumcised, treating them as whores and outcasts. It's a barbaric and medieval practice, society and culture all in one. There really is no other way to look at it i don't care how much of a liberal, multicultural one is.

Isn't cutting off someone's body part bad no matter what - regardless of where or on what sex? Is it just because it is a pleasure organ that we see this different in females?

I see both as mutilation and not necessary. One has just become widely accepted and is done safely. Would people start supporting female genitle mutilation if doctors did it safely and properly at no charge during birth?

Let people do to themselves whatever, if they are
of adult age. Mutilating kids (piercings, male circumcision, etc)
needs to be listed as a criminal act.

male circumcision= less sensitivity=delayed ejaculation= more control of himself and the female for male
female mutilation/clitorectomy = less or no orgasms=frustration= equals control by male partner
