China's iPhone mob tops list of consumers going crazy.

A gaggle of hundreds of deranged applebots rioted and pelted eggs at a beijing apple store. like their american counterparts, applebots lose all semblance of sanity when they can't throw hundreds of dollars at apple for their latest reskinned cell phones.

latimesblogs.latimes.com...

It is unfortunate and hopefully chinese communist leaders can get these people the psychiatric care they need.

Screw apple
Worst piece of crap technology out there
And Steve Jobs is not a "hero" or whatever you might say. He was one of the richest men in the world and the best think he could do for the world was an iPad? Yeah right, he should be condemned.

Having dated a Chinese girl for 7 years, being close to her entire family/extended families, I can fully attest to the fact that the Chinese, as a people, are right on par with the American people in terms of materialism & fanatical consumerism.

It's ALL about the almighty dollar/yuan...for the majority of us.

Mad world. Crazy world. Sad world.

RIP Humanity

All peoples are materialistic, but some cultures are a little more subtle than others about displaying their tokens of success and status.

It's probably fair to say that broadly speaking, both the Chinese and the Americans generally fall in the "not so subtle" category.
