do you use to aid in star gazing?

My favourites -

1. starrynight pro v 3
2.starrynight pro v4 - (but cant use until i upgrade my pc.)
3, redshift - (compaired to the two above.. i find it wanting)

To be honest, i dont know of any other that offer such options as these ive mentioned. - and ive put those into most liked order.

Im interested more in commercial titles - but each to their own.

Starry Night's software is, in my opion, above and beyond pretty much all others. A nice companion to use with it (especially if you can't shell out the $150+ for Pro) is the Celestia: A 3D Space Simulator.

You can, but I like to use Celestia for the Solar System stuff. I like the graphics a titch more, plus I don't have the Pro versions of Starry Night.
