Democrats are wrong: It is a tax hike.. and it does effect the Middle Class (average for a family of 4 by $400 a year) but it does raise the taxes
more for upper income families even more (making over $250k)
However..
While it may be a tax hike.. Republicans are wrong too: It's not raising the taxes, especially for upper income families significantly at all.. in
fact, it's simply bringing them back up to "normal levels".
However..
Both are extra wrong in this fact: If they raise the taxes back to "normal" levels prior to the tax cut, then the tax discrepancy between middle
income families and the lower class income brackets is exploited significantly. Because with the Bush tax cuts were numerous other programs passed
separately that offered huge new credits and tax cuts to the poorer Americans.
What does this mean? By raising the taxes on the Middle income and Upper income, but not getting rid of the new credits and tax breaks for the poor,
a larger percentage of taxation and responsibility to uphold the entire welfare system falls onto the Middle income families particularly hard. The
solution: For every percentage point you raise taxes on the Middle Class and Rich you must increase on the Poor.
