Has YouTube been hacked or are they Phishing 4 your email password?

i use the secure login FF plugin to automatically login to sites. it's never given me any trouble though some sites it doesn't work
Youtube isn't one of those sites

recently YT accnts became linked to gmail passwords so i had to change it
a member posted about that here

i was going to link a video on a post here and find myself locked out of my accnt

now they are asking me to sign in to my hotmail acct and link from "their very convenient page"
there is a link for them to send a verification e mail i'm still waiting, but nothing, it's like they're trying to force one into clicking that other link which might give away my password
i can't even seem to contact them to let them know of my displeasure.

WTF is it with these A-holes?
are they phishing for my passwords and contacts or have hackers taken it over?

interesting: they KNOW i'm logged into my hotmail acct

and insist on not letting me into my gmail

looks like more google evil
