H5N1 transmission experiment stirs concern
Robert Roos News Editor
Nov 17, 2011 (CIDRAP News) – A national biosecurity board that monitors "dual use" research is apparently worried about an as-yet-published study in which a mutant form of H5N1 avian influenza virus was found to be easily transmissible in ferrets, which are considered good models for flu in humans.
SOURCE:
www.cidrap.umn.edu...

What I am understanding is these people are messing with the H5N1 virus and trying to mutate it into a form that "COULD" possilby infect humans, It says they want to know if this strain could mutate and are trying to figure out if it can through experimenting on something that hasnt happened yet, yet they are trying to create it? am I reading this correctly? can anyone put this article in more laymen terms for me-us who arent in that level of knowledge?
Why would they purposely find the mutation that infects humans? it is not infecting humans thus far why push it?

Flagged, good find.

So TPTB finally have thamselves a transmitable H5N1 strain, looks like they have been busy. Now to mix in the H1N1 dna and what do you know, massive population kill with total deniability.

Sorry about typos. On phone.
