Materialism Experimentally Disproven

I saw this on the delayed choice quantum eraser experiment recently. So apparently either material reality exists but isn't what's behind our observations of reality, or matter simply doesn't exist at all.

There are a number of terms that I'd like more precise definitions for, but I always thought that an electron was a bit of material reality. If that's so, the experiment uses and manipulates material reality. That sounds contrary to my understanding of disproved materialism.

But, I'm ignorant in these things and await a teacher.

Electrons are energy. The are part of the atom that is the composition of material things. But, electrons themselves are not material. Just energy
