To me the best Star Trek Series has to be "The Next Generation" I simply love everyone on that show
Best Episode....you know thats almost impossible to answer but I would say "These Are The Voyages...." From The Enterprise Series, the ending was a masterpiece ...Brought a Tear to my eye lol.

DS9 was superb from the third series on, good effects, more detailed storylines than is usual for startrek and nice charachters.

The best trek episode: The Visitor DS9. My favorite character was Demar. He went from a lackey to a kenar swilling puppet to a dedicated freedom fighter. Casey Biggs should have won an emmy for his outstanding performaces. For Cardassia!

My favorite Star Trek was The Enterprise Incident. that's when they meet the Romulans and Spock pretends to kill Kirk and fall in love with the Romulan commander and Kirk gets surgically altered to look like a Romulan and goes and steals the cloaking device.

Far Beyond the Stars should have won an Emmy!

DS9 is my favorite by far. The last few seasons were awesome. Think of how many episodes the war encompassed compared to the Borg episodes of TNG, what were there like 6 Borg episodes? The Borg are silly beyond belief, even the Borg Renegades were way more interesting. You can't have a good show without good bad guys and the Dominion was the best.

I must confess to liking Voyager the best, allthough its a tough one as ds9 (the end) as the war climaxed was pretty impressive! but if i had to put them all in an order as to which serieis i liked the best it would have to be:

1. voyager (The borg The ultimate foe)
2.Next Generation (picard rules)
3.Ds9 (close as the end of the series ruled)
4.Enterprse (i liked the effects and Tpol is Hot)
5.Star trek (set the scene but looking bak it was crap!)

I agree that "Far Beyond the Stars" on DS9 was indeed a great episode!

I really liked DS9... and usually TNG too.

My favorite TNG episode was "The Next Phase"

Geordi and Ensign Ro become intangible aboard a romulan ship, and everyone thinks they are dead. Actually because of a Romulan weapon/experiment they are "phased" into an energy state/dimension.

Anybody else impressed with Avery Brooks' directing? Episodes like The Dogs of War... really great stuff... I wonder why he hasn't directed more... he's got an eye for it. Oh and I just saw the final Enterprise episode... probably the worst episode of Trek I've ever seen out of all the series and I think I've seen almost all of the eps. Oh well.

I would have to say that I do like Enterprise and how they started piecing together the "history" of Star Trek... Well, in a way...

My favorite episode on Enterprise was the one where they had to build the phaser banks to counter one threat... You can't beat the effects of them blowing up that mountain on the moon, not to mention the significance of a pineapple......

However I would have to say my all time favorite Star Trek episode was in TNG. I don't remember the name of it at all, but Picard was going through different timeframes with 'Q' and you saw Admiral Riker with the refitted Enterprise with the third nacelle and one serious phaser cannon mounted under the saucer... That was sweet!!!

That would have been "All good things..." Shaker. I think it was a pretty impressive way to wrap up the series where Q was the ultimate mad guy who had to take a back seat to the borg... Did we forget that Q is the one that introduced them to the Borg? Q is the ultimate bad guy as far as non-DS9 canon goes. With the level playing field of the Dominion against the Alpha Quadrant... the Dominion probably should have won... but thanks to Odo they didn't. I mean the founders may have died but the Dominion would have won in the sense of the battle. . . ANYWAY that was a great flippin' episode of TNG, Shaker.

I do like a challenge....

Being born in the 60`s really there is only one series that any true deserning trek fan should like , but i guess its a case of when you was born. If you was born in the 70`s it would be a fair bet that youd prefer the next generation - put it this way, when that came out me and a few other people hated it with a vengence, and hated having a bald captain too! anyhow these are my favourite episodes from the first, and argueably the best of all star trek series.

SERIES ONE

In no order...

season one

the corbomite maneuver
the menagerie
balance of terror
the galileo seven
tomorrow is yesterday
arena
the return of the archons
space seed
a taste of armageddon
devil in the dark
the city on the edge of forever (got an emy too i beleive??)

season 2

who mourns adonais?
the changling
mirror mirror
the apple
the doomsday machine
the gamesters of triskelion
a piece of the action
the ultimate computer
bread and circuses
assignment earth

season 3

Now season 3 was alittle different from the other two previous seasons, and wasnt as good imho...so tentativly i use the heading for season 3 as

the paradise syndrome
for the world is hollow and i have touched the sky
let that be your last battlefield
the cloud minders
all our yesterdays

So thats my opinion, whats yours????

enterprise.

I really wish they would not of canceled it,
I can tell by the story arc of the last few that they where gearing up for the war with the romulans

I don't really have a 'favorite' series...they all had their highs and lows. I'll just toss out my favorite episodes, and see how many laughs I get.

"Yesteryear" - from Star Trek: The Animated Series.
"How Sharper Than a Serpent's Tooth" - Also from Star Trek: The Animated Series.
"The City on the Edge of Forever" - Star Trek, Season 1.
"The Measure of a Man" - Star Trek, the Next Generation.
"Yesterday's Enterprise" - Star Trek, the Next Generation.

It's an odd grouping, I know...and I haven't seen these on any of the lists here. It might be an interesting discussion to talk about *why* we all picked the episodes we did.

I have two favorite episodes from the original series. Mirror, Mirror & Space Seed.

But TNG is the best all around as far as I'm concerned. It's kind of odd that I never really cared for Voyager, DS9 or Enterprise. Although, I must admit, T'Pol and Seven of Nine were...within T&C...nice...

I'm currently re-watching DS9 on Netflix streaming (my husband hates it) and I am loving it! Just about half way thru Season 5 and so far my favorite episode has been "Trials and Tribble-ations". The hubbs even enjoyed that one. The scene in the bar with the Klingons was a kick!

"They are Klingons, and it is a long story."

OST- "The City on the Edge of Forever" and "Where no Man has Gone Before"

TNG- I can't remember the titles but I liked the episode where a Vegas-type casino is discovered on another planet, and i like the one where a little old man turns out to be the most powerful alien in the known universe (luckily he's friendly).
