A Win98 hang/crash bug is being investigated. Please check this thread for updates: setiweb.ssl.berkeley.edu...

This bug puts your computer in a state that causes you to reset your computer in order to be able to use it, this can cause disk corruption. It's recommended that you hold off using BOINC on Win98 and WinME until this bug is fixed.
