Wow talk about nothing left to say!

You can see the emotion in this guy, he feels what he's saying for sure. Put it to them in no uncertain manner

Though i must say, he could also just be a very good actor
If there is something sinister about the Occupy movement then sending in a guy like this could certainly sure up some numbers quick smart.

But maybe i'm being too cynical??

EDIT TO ADD: As a point of reference, here is some footage of the police attacking protesters at Occupy Times Square. This is what the guy was reacting to:

I honestly don't know how i would react to this - it gets me so angry
prob end up getting beaten and arrested

I think its important that anyone who has something to say about the current state of affairs ought to step up, and feel free to do so. All too often, it is frowned upon for military personel from any given nation, to be seen to have opinions on political and social matters, and it is good to see this gentleman speaking out, and comming out in defence of the people of his nation.

I really hope that this guy isnt some plant, because for one thing, that would be crass , low, and terrible, but also because it would devalue the movement, and its messege I think, and add fuel to an already raging inferno in the PR meatgrinder that revolves around such matters.

Look at those stupid pigs. They should be sent to Iraq or Afghanistan. Lets see how tough they are there with their guns and pepper-spray.

Wow. Hope u-tube doesn't delete this clip. Didja catch the look on all those cops faces?? The size of that guy, and his obvious "mana" was too much for them. One cop who came on the scene later looked like he could be a scary jerk though..

MANA

In Polynesian culture, mana is a spiritual quality considered to have supernatural origin—a sacred impersonal force existing in the universe. Therefore to have mana is to have influence and authority, and efficacy—the power to perform in a given situation. This essential quality of mana is not limited to persons—peoples, governments, places and inanimate objects can possess mana. There are two ways to obtain mana: through birth and through warfare. People or objects that possess mana are accorded respect because their possession of mana gives them authority, power, and prestige. The word’s meaning is complex because mana is a basic foundation of the Polynesian worldview.

Nah they only attack women and small men, when someone looks like they would be happy to fight back they all stand about looking like scared little boys.

What a guy!
More of this need's to happen.
Everything he said was true, the cops have no honor all they care is about a wage packet.
If this is not the case then why dont you see any cops siding with the people?
Here you have a guy who's been to war to protect the very same coppers who stand there like tyrants whilst telling him to keep on walking. To go to war only to come back and not be able to speak your mind is terrible.

They didnt have the nuts and they knew it! One well trained guy that big can cause havoc quickly.
Goes to show what kind of worms work for the police, the kind who wanted to make a change? The kind who wanted to be the Sherriff and chase the badies out of town? Or the kind that wants to recieve tax payers money and then bite the hand that feeds them?

I think it's the latter, the majority anyway, there are exeptions.

THAT was FREAKIN AWESOME!!!!
This is the kind of thing I was expecting to see when that thread popped up about the Army and Marine guys heading to protect the people at the protests! And this was just ONE MAN! Imagine 50 or 100 people with the honor, courage, and loyalty to the American people and the Constitution! And if he gets discharged, well, what's the point of being a Marine if he is supposed to stand by while Americans are being brutalized? If he's gonna get fired for doing what he swore to do, then so be it. Would he get fired if it was a bunch of Arab Muslims wearing turbans that were beating americans? No. Don't think so. His only crime is that us doesn't see race or clothing, he sees people attacking Americans and he doesn't like it!

I just have to say that im not American but I felt alot of emotion watching this video.
If I was from the states, id get up right now and join the movement along side all the real patriots of that country.
This video shows a bit of hope where there seems to be none.
It's with this man's passion that US citizens should unite and unite until they can look the other way no more.
Amazing video. More heroes need to join the movement.

You know i dont even know if it matters that much whether he's a plant or not, i think the point he's making is great - and you guys have all picked up on it.

I'm not pro-war at all but if i went over there intent on defending my country and meant the best, it would really upset too me to see the cops acting like they are - or least have been. The video doesn't show em actually being violent at all.

Hey, at least they stayed back and let him have his say, If they dared do anything else though it wouldve gotten majorly out of hand.

To play devils advocate, there have been many stories of people/agents going to these protests to start trouble, who knows, maybe he was trying to stir the crowd too? Again, maybe im being too sceptical...?

Quite appart from not having the nuts (which is beside the point) the cops knew that not only were they going to get housed if they even farted in his general direction, but they also knew there was no way in hell they would be able to defend attacking the gentleman in question, bearing in mind the fellows military service and demonstrable good character and patriotism.

It would have been a public relations nightmare for the city , the NYPD as an organisation, and from the political angle would have been enough of an outrage to see the OTS movement , and its vetran spokesman of the moment, elevated to the status reserved for those who tango'd with the tanks at Tiananmen square.

You saw the way the gentleman grasped his uniform, brandishing his service to his nation at the cops like a sheild, or a sword. He knew, just as they did, that if they caused a ruck with him it would utterly dsestroy the validity of the department as a whole, something that MORE than enough work has been done on already this month.

That Marine would have had more chance of getting into a fight at a reunion of geriatric flower arranging specialists, than have one of those cops touch him. He knew it , they knew it, and good for him I say.

That guy was amazing man... good on him.

He said mostly good and decent things and the stupid, ignorant things he said I'll put down to emotion.

Either way, if they had 50-100 guys like that surrounding/protecting the core of the protesters or going round checking for police brutality, there would be a lot less trouble.

Yeah i agree man, i dont think he meant it is OK to go to Afghanistan and kill people, more showing the cops how their unneccesary use of force was misplaced and how soft the are

What do people mean when they say that the OWS movement has no leaders?
I see one right here.
Who's going to stand with him?

When that man joined the Corps he believed he was fighting for something.
He swore an oath to defend The Constitution from enemies foreign and domestic.
Maybe every citizen should swear the same.
Stand together and openly proclaim our rights to free speech and free assembly.
It's the only thing true patriots can all agree on.

If we cannot save our Nation through Constitutional means then there is no saving it.
The second we throw it out for expediency's sake we are no longer a Republic but a mob.
There is no right, no left, no capitalists and no communists.
There are Constitutionalists and there are traitors.
and that is the bottom line.

Yeah I thought the same and I know he was just fuming and really letting them have it.
Still could be taken the wrong way though.
