Morning folks,

I am requesting your help today. I switched from ATT No Phone to virgin mobile. I have a samsung model sgh-A197(crappy phone) to a virgin rumor touch. How in heaven do I get my contacts from the samsung to the rumortouch? I greatly appreciate any advice.

Get typing, my friend. I'll set the box of tissues on your desk.

Call around and find a store who has a Cellebrite machine AND has the phones you have listed in their Cellebrite systems...
www.cellebrite.com...

You may have to pay $5 for the service, but the machines can transfer virtually any contact list from one phone to another in a matter of seconds. Much better than poking 500 contacts into a new phone, and prevents any mistakes. If you're lucky, it'll pull other data like SMS or photos, just depends on the phone.

It depends where your contacts are stored. on the phone memory or the sim, iusually phones have an option to save numbers on the sim so, you could save all the numbers on your old phone onto the sim, and the transfer the sim to your new phone and save them from the sim into the phone..

If you can work out how to do it that is

Great info. Five bucks is nothing if it means saving hours of typing.
