Uggh.. so a few involved are to be sacrificed in an effort to get it to go away. With Holders involvement he should not be anywhere near an investigation into this. As much as Congress annoys me they need to appoint a special prosector to run an independant investigation, and that investigation should include Holder, as well as any white house offical.

All they did was armed the cartels, 75% of the weapons can't be traced, are lost to the cartels, and the people who bought and signed for the guns were never arrested, And E.H. the DOJ's AG still gets a check.

Look at it like this. If you work for the DEA or ATF, you're in charge of stopping illegal drugs and guns from being transported in and/or out of the country. Say you happen to be a greedy POS of a human being who doesn't give a damn about what's right or wrong. Soon you'll realize that the people trafficking drugs and guns across the border will pay you more than the government will pay you to stop them. Now if the government thinks you're doing your job, and you're helping the cartels too, you're getting paid by both sides.

The only thing that remains unclear after an event like this is the scope of illegal activity and how high up it goes. All I know is that drugs and weapons are illegal in most countries yet criminals get away with criminal activity day in and day out.
If any government took its job seriously then a whole lot of politicians would be killing themselves out of remorse. That ain't gonna happen. Fact of the matter is executive government can do as it please and use national security to get away with damming evidence. "Your honor that is classfied." Judge "ah ok, case dismissed for lack of evidence."
The movie serpico of cops in nyc back several decades ago made it clear that if your not on the take, then no one really likes you and they fear you because you are untrustworthy in their eyes. Its the oumerta code of silence!
