there are trees down everywhere in Richmond! Down the street from me a house was cut in half! poles and wires block many roads, and we could be without power for weeks. 75% outage here.


I said before it is perspective, when it effects you directly you get it. The rest is just conjecture.

welp this is going to be a worse flood here in pequannock nj then in 84. Pompton river is already at almost 24 feet (16 is flood stage), no crest till tomorrow. Passaic river homes are gonna be even worse, as they don't crest till tuesday. Tons of fallen trees everywhere, and a bridge by the pompton dam collapsed as well.

while this certainly wasn't a hurricane bob, it easily dumped plenty of water to flood most of this state.

Chris Christie of New Jersey said more than 300 roadways were blocked, but he warned that dire problems were still to come, particularly along the Delaware, Ramapo and Passaic Rivers. “The real issue that we are going to have to deal with now is flooding,” Mr. Christie said. So is it safe to say that it wasn't the category of the storm that was the issue, but rather the after effects of it? It seems as though the flooding is the biggest contributor.
