The BGS said earthquakes were a common event in the west Highlands but added that to have four on the same day was "slightly unusual".
A spokesman said small earthquakes were more noticeable in quiet places and at a quiet time, such as a Sunday morning.
The most recent recorded quake in the area was on 30 July in Knoydart.

An earthquake in the Highlands was the latest in a series to be recorded across Scotland since the start of 2011, according to official data.
The British Geological Survey (BGS) said the 3.5-magnitude quake struck in Glenuig, 25 miles (40km) west of Fort William at about 0600 GMT on Sunday.
People in Inverness, Skye and Oban reported feeling tremors.

An earthquake has been recorded in western Scotland.
The British Geological Survey (BGS) said the 3.5-magnitude quake struck in Glenuig, 25 miles (40km) west of Fort William in the Highlands at about 0600 GMT.
People in Inverness, Skye and Oban, reported feeling tremors, which were experienced across the west Highlands.
The BGS said such an earthquake might be felt up to 120km (74 miles) away but was unlikely to cause much damage.......continued.

BGS have received several reports from residents of Ballachulish and Glencoe of an event today (29 August 2011) at 11:08 BST. Reports described "felt like thunder" and "rumble lasted for no more than a couple of secounds".
