In addition to the OP, I just have to add a bit of humor. This "pretty guy" and his expensive tastes in haircuts and wardrobe will break the taxpayers.

Rick Perry--Don't even get me started....

#1 Rick Perry is a "big government" politician. When Rick Perry became the governor of Texas in 2000, the total spending by the Texas state government was approximately $49 billion. Ten years later it was approximately $90 billion. That is not exactly reducing the size of government.

#2 The debt of the state of Texas is out of control. According to usdebtclock.org, the debt to GDP ratio in Texas is 22.9% and the debt per citizen is $10,645. In California (a total financial basket case), the debt to GDP ratio is just 18.7% and the debt per citizen is only $9932. If Rick Perry runs for president these are numbers he will want to keep well hidden.

#3 The total debt of the Texas government has more than doubled since Rick Perry became governor. So what would the U.S. national debt look like after four (or eight) years of Rick Perry?

#4 Rick Perry has spearheaded the effort to lease roads in Texas to foreign companies, to turn roads that are already free to drive on into toll roads, and to develop the Trans-Texas Corridor which would be part of the planned NAFTA superhighway system. If you really do deep research on this whole Trans-Texas Corridor nonsense you will see why no American should ever cast a single vote for Rick Perry.

#5 Rick Perry claims that he has a "track record" of not raising taxes. That is a false claim. Rick Perry has repeatedly raised taxes and fees while he has been governor. Today, Texans are faced with significantly higher taxes and fees than they were before Rick Perry was elected.

#6 Even with the oil boom in Texas, 23 states have a lower unemployment rate than Texas does.

#7 Back in 1988, Rick Perry supported Al Gore for president. In fact, Rick Perry actually served as Al Gore's campaign chairman in the state of Texas that year.

#8 Between December 2007 and April 2011, weekly wages in the U.S. increased by about 5 percent. In the state of Texas they increased by just 0.6% over that same time period.

#10 Rick Perry attended the Bilderberg Group meetings in 2007. Associating himself with that organization should be a red flag for all American voters.

#11 Texas has the highest percentage of workers making minimum wage out of all 50 states.

#12 Rick Perry often gives speeches about illegal immigration, but when you look at the facts, he has been incredibly soft on the issue. If Rick Perry does not plan to secure the border, then he should not be president because illegal immigration is absolutely devastating many areas of the southwest United States.

#13 In 2007, 221,000 residents of Texas were making minimum wage or less. By 2010, that number had risen to 550,000.

#14 Rick Perry actually issued an executive order in 2007 that would have forced almost every single girl in the state of Texas to receive the Gardasil vaccine before entering the sixth grade. Perry would have put parents in a position where they would have had to fill out an application and beg the government not to inject their child with a highly controversial vaccine. Since then, very serious safety issues regarding this vaccine have come to light. Fortunately, lawmakers in Texas blocked what Perry was trying to do. According to Wikipedia, many were troubled when "apparent financial connections between Merck and Perry were reported by news outlets, such as a $6,000 campaign contribution and Merck's hiring of former Perry Chief of Staff Mike Toomey to handle its Texas lobbying work."

Personally, I am tired of the media "telling us" who will be the nominee. Whenever the media starts declaring someone a "frontrunner" (Romney, now Perry), I know who to STAY AWAY from.

Whoever the media marginalizes, however, we should all look more closely at, because they have the best chance at bucking the status quo. When the media goes out of the way to tear someone to shreds, you can bet they are the real threats to politics as usual, and the candidate you should look at more closely. Don't fall for the media's smear campaign against anyone they have decided to attack and portray as "crazy".

Rick Perry will not be getting my vote.

Why has this man come from virtual obscurity to be the new darling of the MSM?

He got a hell of a lot of air time, especially on CNN over the weekend, it reminds me of how things were going around this time 4 years ago with Obama.

Looks like THEY have their guy.

Why do you think Obama's goal is to "destroy the nation"? Can you please elaborate on that a bit? Can you site some resource to back up your claim?

It's the 7th day of the week, God is resting; obviously. That is my understanding of it. God rested on the 7th day, and we haven't seen or heard from Him since.

Do not forget either that Rick Perry signed an executive order requiring girls receive the HPV vaccine

...yep and what screwed up his nazi plan was -

...(1) his financial connection to the guardasil makers was exposed...

...(2) his prejudice and genocidal mindset was exposed... his mandate was directed only at public school girls (starting at the 5th grade) but not public school boys (even though they get hpv too) and not faith-based school girls, even though he claimed hpv was reaching epidemic stages and that gave him the right to mandate the vaccine...

...agreed and, imo, you can yell foul until you're my age and show all the reasons why someone should not be potus but, in the end, it wont matter cuz the puppet who will become potus has already been selected before the campaigning even starts and its been that way from the get-go...

Excellent Op misoir...S/F.

Perry is the scum of the earth....any you are absolutely right...he is the neo con candidate. he is the one that has been chosen as he can align the religious and corporate vote together. I'm amazed that he got so many right in votes.....do these people even know who he is?

Hes worse than Bush....and I would fear him becoming President.

There's also much more about him that's not good, Texas ranks last in the US in education and many of his policies have hurt working families in texas. yes, he's created some jobs (i think?), but all of them are low paying...many of which used to be higher paying in other states.

Rick Perry believes that Social Security and Medicare are unconstitutional. I think his ability to understand the reading of the constitution raises questions. It clearly states that Congress has the power: "to lay and collect taxes" and to "provide for the general welfare of the United States......

I apologize for this post. I posted incorrect information about Mr. Perry regarding these issues. It is Ron Paul who holds these views. Please forgive me!!

I know this thread is about Rick Perry being a danger to America (and I agree) but since you brought it up...

Allow Young People to Opt out of SS and Medicare

We should understand that Social Security was intended primarily to prevent old widows from becoming
destitute. Life expectancy in 1935 was only about 65, when there were several workers for each Social Security recipient. The program was never intended to be a general transfer payment from young workers to older retirees, regardless of those retirees’ financial need. Yet today Social Security faces an unfunded liability of approximately $18 trillion.

First, Congress needs to stop using payroll taxes for purposes not related to Social Security, which was a trick the Clinton administration used to claim balanced budgets. Second, Congress should eliminate unconstitutional spending – including unnecessary overseas commitments – and use the saved funds to help transition to a Social Security system that is completely voluntary. At some point in the near future Congress must allow taxpayers to opt out of federal payroll taxes in exchange for never receiving Social Security benefits.

It’s time for Congress to face the fundamental problems that affect Social Security and Medicare, and show the courage necessary to make real changes to both programs by rejecting the welfare/warfare state.

As President, Dr Paul will work with Congress to really address the issues rather than all the ridiculous, senseless political posturing that we have now which does nothing but insure the demise of these programs.

Is he really though. His SuperPac is for "Parry". Could just be an attempt at political satire. Don't watch the show so don't know if he's made pro-Perry statements.

Stephen Colbert debuts PAC ad for "Rick Parry"

NEW YORK — Stephen Colbert 's latest attempt at campaign mischief-making involves encouraging Iowans to write in a false name during the weekend's presidential straw poll.

Colbert, who formed a "super PAC" this year and won approval from the Federal Election Commission to begin taking contributions, is encouraging Iowans to vote for "Rick Parry" during today's test vote for Republican presidential candidates.

Texas Gov. Rick Perry, with an "e," signaled his intention to join the GOP presidential scrum Thursday but is not on the straw poll ballot. Voters are able to write in candidates. The comic, who portrays a mock political talk host on his Comedy Central show, produced two television ads through his PAC, laden with images of corn and farms, asking for the "Parry" vote. "That's 'Parry' with an 'a' for America, an 'a' for Iowa," one ad says. The Associated Press

I'm curious though. This year was the first year Iowa allowed write-ins. Perry suposedly got over 700 write-in votes. I wonder whether they counted the mispelled votes in his favor!!!

I agree, use your mind. If the entire system is corrupt, then your vote is worthless.

And I don't think I have to tell you that yes, the entire system IS corrupt.

I just watched those videos,OP.S&F for ya!
Perry truly believes he's some kind of messiah and that it's his destiny to turn the nation into a theocracy. One part of me would like to think he's using these clowns to boost his support with the GOP's Christian extremists.Unfortunately he's not.Yes,he has a proven track record like he says and it's been posted here and elsewhere it's a record of being a neo-con frontman and a puppet for the same interests as our most recent Presidents.

Every one of them have bags and something weird in their past. People have had enough of Obummer and Perry will get the bid. Face it 8 years of Perry and hopefully Rubio will be his running mate which will make it 16 years for the big R's. D's had their shot and blew it.

This guy is the ultimate fake. I have been watching him for years. In fact, I have personally seen him in action.
He is absolutely hated by so many people that coincidentally have NO voice...farmers, rural people that have had their land "imminent domained" by this man. All for PRIVATELY OWNED TOLL ROADS. Yes, they contributed heavily to his campaigns for governor.
He is a fraud. He is a CFR man, a tool for Israel. That is precisely WHY he found RELIGION.
Make no mistake people, you can't work hard enough to keep this crap out of office.

For some reason, perry has popped back up on my radar. i think it's latent shock from seeing how this obvious shill was being touted by the zionista at control, just a few months ago. I heard a few sound bytes which triggered my ear and I looked into what he represents. Takes money from Merck, tries to make law to have vaccine in his state. Uses all the Christian flash points about profanity, homos, going to hell, porn etc., while at the same time turning his hoe, and the world into it, all for his own gain, while enslaving us with #e that Jesus would kick butt over. The clincher was when he killed a guy who was innocent, accused of trying to kill his family in a house fire, based on a pentagram the rednecks found on the floor, caused by wind flow through the house's windows. After the man was killed, perry stated that the swearwords he used just before his execution, were proof that he was a demon from hell, and deserved it. The forensics were canceled so perry could suck the christers off in front of the cameras. I fail to see why he functions.

Viscerally I strongly dislike the pimp. Using religion is a slap at the face of God, and I hope he joins another esteemed colleague in learning to walk, again.

You can never underestimate what the jews will put on a plate to serve us. Since there's no choice, as usual, this (s)election, I have time to reflect on the recent activities of the jews in under the carpet, scurrying about, trying to fit in, locally now, in politics.
