Why can't I get past step #1 for uploading media?

Nothing functions on step1 when uploading media. Tried on two different computers both running XP.

Any advice?

...i have xp and didnt have any problems... hard to say what you might be doing wrong without knowing exactly what you did...

...are you uploading from saved files on your computer?... or are you trying to upload straight off the web via using picture properties?...

I'm trying to upload a file from my computer. I've done it before successfully. Now when I try the only active button is the "Options" toggle link but none of the options are active and there is no indication of a way to get to the next step.

still image/avatar uploads still function as they should

video/multimedia uploads have long-since been disabled due to a myriad of copyright/content issues.
