just seen this and thought it was a pretty cool pic after it left an outline from the natural powder down used to protect growing feathers.
i can imagine the owl was shook uo after a nice bump like this lol
i wonder if the homeowners had a pet hamster or something the owl thought he could get to munch on?

An owl was left in a flap after crashing into a window, leaving a near perfect print of itself on the glass.

Sally Arnold returned home to Kendal, Cumbria, and found the huge imprint complete with eyes, beak and feathers on her bedroom window.

How strange-never heard of anything like that before.
Amazing detail on the photo.
Maybe the owl was chasing its own reflection?
Very odd.

So he crashes into the window leaving a really
cool imprint which looks ghostly. Wow!
Amazing photo - I think I would freak a little
if I saw that on my window.

We've had some pretty neat imprints from birds on our windows, but the owl is very cool. Usually birds fly into windows when they can see through the house and see light from other windows.

If you Google "bird imprints on windows" there are some pretty cool pics.

Amazing-I have never heard of or seen this phenomena before this thread-even though I have had a fair share of birds smack into my windows over the years.

Something tells me I need to clean my windows more often...
