For me Hemingway was the last of the great prose writers, a line that began with Cervantes, as well as being the creator of the last truly original
style. Had it not been for Joyce, who was artistically on par with Sophocles and Shakespeare, Hemingway's reputation would be even greater than it
is.
However, Papa also happened to be an expatriate who was friends with Castro. So I'm not surprised at all that he was on the FBI's shortlist.
