Ismail Haniyeh says Gazans must respect Egypt's security so Rafah crossing will remain open and enable Palestinians to travel after a four-year blockade.

I actually found it quite funny to be honest. Hamas trying to restrain the people from taking advantage of the crossing. That's definitely a first..

It is good though to see Hamas is being respectful about the open crossing and not taking full advantage of it. Who knows, maybe Fatah knocked some sense into Hamas after the reconciliation.

Sounds more like hamas (the israeli supported branch of Palestine) is setting up a problem for Palestine.
The border will be closed again.

My impression is that Hamas is considered a terrorist group by the Government of Israel and Fatah is the group they support and recognize.

I think this is just showing a certain level of responsibility on the part of Hamas. Here is a long awaited oppotunity to repair their houses and rebuild and possibly turn Gaza around. The last thing they need is some rouge fanatics screwing it up.

Hamas created by israel
Alot of good info there which may explain why the border will be closed.
Believe it or not, it sounds very reasonable.
