I'm sure many of you are sick of the hundreds of Osama threads recently opened. However, I found this video from lateline rather interesting and I'm sure many of you would be interested in this. Firstly it is compatable in what many conspiracy theorists believe and it also brings up the question of "was Osama's Extrajudicial killing" legal?

The question of was the killing legal is nearly irrelevant. You can ask if it would have been legal had another country take an identical action but it doesn't make sense to ask if it was legal. The USA did it and therefore it was legal. Historical precedent goes back WWI and the theme is verified with increasing intensity as you advance the time frame from WWII on through the present.

The answer to if it would have been legal if it wasn't the US is very likely "no."

Very good interview.

Putting that aside.....Iraq had nothing to do with Osama bin Laden or "Al Qaeda" yet Bush went straight in to Iraq after 9/11, killed, murdered and pillaged the nation of $billions upon billions in cash (yet to be accounted for) and raided their museums of some of the most pecious ancient artifacts.

"Al Qaeda" and the Taliban are two separate entities yet a majority of the civilians paid the price, those who never supported either groups of terrorists.

Libya.....NATO forces invade yet Syria's Assad has killed and murdered more of their citizens than Ghaddafi ever did 10 fold.

As the operational leader of Al Qaeda in an ongoing conflict with the United States, Mr. bin Laden was a legitimate military target to be captured or killed at any time under the law of war. This situation is very similar to general Yamamoto during world war 2 .On 14 April 1943 US naval intelligence received his information on inspection tour throughout the South Pacific. A squadron of P-38 Lightning aircraft were assigned the task to kill him they were successful. So Osama being a military target it is perfectly acceptable and theres precedence to back it up so now crime occured. Well at least not in the eyes of man anyway.

Here's the problem with the entire thing #1binladen wasn't a country or a military force, if all being true he was nothing more than a murderer, something more like Charles Manson, which was of a civil criminal offense , not a military offense...bush deemed it necessary to change all the rules to the game in order for the military contractors to get a piece of the pie and take the judicial system totally out of the equation...this is the problem

Which brings us to the "SUPPOSED" killing of binladen? as far as the bush administrations strategy they crowned binladen as a threat to national security and an enemy of the country and no other warranties exist.

just as 911 was quickly swept under the table, the revenge and disposal of binladen will follow suit so the US government can go on with business as usual unchallenged by anyone and their justification and non disclosure.

the entire situation was politically motivated by both sides on every account and they are both entirely guilty and to blame for all..

everyone is the loser because its never going to end and the machine is going to become out of control and consume itself and everyone in its path

But what did OBL have to do with Iraq???

Everyone seems to avoid that question like the plague.

NOTE: Bush never tried to look for OBL, neither did Clinton!
