Some1 brought up a good point earlier.

Is it really worth working at area 51 or any top secret agency knowing that you could know the truth of aliens and any conspiracy. But consider the costs...you would probably be forced to live in a form of isolation from people. That means no going with friends on a fri, or sat night to a bar or even to a restaurant. That means no get away vacation to a foreign land. That could probably mean no leaving Nevada, who knows. You would always constantly be monitored.

Is it really worth it? I use to think it was, but I never truly thought about the trade offs involved.

What do they do about the families of those that work there?

They get to see their families, they go to work and come back home like any other American. Only thing is their being watched the whole time.

The question then becomes 'Who watches the watchers!?'
