I get the concept you are relaying but I do not see it as ignorance per se. Science classifies everything to point of absurdity. Why can't it just be a tree or a dog for example.

The genius in understanding our species is the 99% similarity. In my opinion, we should generalize. The ignorance is based in the separatist behavior that focuses solely on the 1% differences between us.
