OMG! No Doom? Yes!! Wooo. Instead, we get gorgeous pictures. We don't always have to focus on the negative, people. There is beautiful all around us. So, today, we focus on the gorgeous moon that was here last night. NO EPIC DOOM! FTW!!

Then we talk about why we shouldn't take everything so seriously, and why laughter is an important daily activity.

hahaha - i love to see these prophecies come and go and mostly be proven false or misleading!

A ''super-moon'' isnt a once in a lifetime experiance, it happenes every 20 years or so...

Although it wasnt great viewing in Australia, although it was a clear night, it wasnt massive. The only thing i noticed was it was pretty bright. It actually made me squint to look at it untill my eyes adusted..

yeah, didn't get to see it at all here in los angeles. even though i was a bit scared and worried i was really freaking fed up with the doom porners. people were all in a froth- some on this thread- screaming "ARMAGEDDON!" with absolute GLEE. i have a feeling they are a bit disappointed.

we still could get an earthquake tho. its been a seismic year. but no, the moon didn't explode or vomit on us or anything. HURRAH for PLANET EARTH.

I was expecting it to be bigger then it was. It did make for beautiful viewing though, it was very calming to just sit and watch both the moon and the stars. It defiantly looked it's best when it was just rising though, it was a gorgeous reddish orange.

But yes, no doom thankfully. One doom date down, 349829723 to go!

Californians shouldn't be rejoicing just yet. The period for the full effect of the supermoon is not over yet!

I guess you missed the tsunami on the news

Although thankful that worse hasn't occurred yet, remember the Japan earthquake and tsunami happened eight days before the mega moon. The moon's influence will continue as it moves further away. Be thankful for what didn't happen, but watchful for what could.

I didnt think anyone creadable was predicting the end of the earth. But hten again ask the poor people of Fukushima.

I know I can tell by moon cycle and attitude, 8 days before with my companion (get my drift?).

Mother earth and ALL mothers are of the same blood.

Dont forget the 8 days after...party time..

We make dates and spefic times mother nature dosent run on a very precise clock.

oh yeah there is that little conflict of interst thing in Libia (not a female anatomy misspelling) witch may or not be fairly ground shaking on it its own.

sorry couple of beers to many, too read the news .

peace out ATSers

Was a perfect night for the veiwing in Victoria, Australia, but I agree. Wasn't really any bigger, just brighter. I will call it a fairly special moon, but not super!!
